So, I've found a PVP corp that looks really interesting to me, they do a lot of FW but also live in a 0.2 system. It seems like a bit of a security status hit is inevitable by joining this corp, but I've been told they will replace all T1 ships minus fittings.

Now here comes the Dilemma.. I've just returned to Eve and I'm attempting to work up a sustainable income. I'm doing pretty well with ISK running L3's + salvage. Problem is, my best agents are all in higher sec systems, that I could end up being cut off from.

Any advice to my help my conflicted mind would be nice.. I really want to PVP, but I really don't want to be dirt poor, either.

If you can't secure an income you shouldn't be losing assets much, combining low sec piracy/pvp with mission runner on the same character is difficult. You're much better off to train 1 or 2 alts on your account for trading and go do that. You can make a decent income without much effort.

Apart from that low sec rats are not bad these days, tried it on an alt few weeks ago and isk/hour is decent and you get some standing back in the process. So you might combine both trading on alts with doing a little bit of ratting, resulting in a double income.

That's something I've been considering (Market Alt). How much training time does it usually take to get a trade alt with decent skills? Is it something that will cut heavily into my main's training? Maybe another account is the way to go with this to try it out? (Considering the 21 day trial and 1 month free on subscription offer going on right now..)

It seems that a second account isn't an option?!

If not, you should create two trading alts. station 1 in rens and 1 in jita, or dodixie or amarr.

set up buy orders and resell the items.
It's not necessary to leave the station that way. Just around 15 minutes per day to adjust your orders :)
Training for these toons isn't alot. Some trading skills, will take around two weeks per char for decent skills.

Not sure what you mean by a second account isn't an option.. I was saying it can be, just wondering if it's worth it just for a trade alt.. or better to run off the same account with my main.

The huge benefit of a second account is, you can train two characters at the same time :)

If your second account will be mainly into trading, and you have feeling for it, you can make billions with it.

You might want to talk to that corp and ask if they can help you with that problem.

Everyone needs a high-sec mission-runner in an NPC corp. 8-)

Ok, that's probably flamebait, but they sure seem awfully handy, from what I hear.

I'd make a new character for PvP, since tacklers with cheap clones are always in demand. Do it on the same account and train it lightly. Don't worry about not being able to train both characters at once. The PvP character WANTS a cheap clone, so the less training it has, the better off you are. If you like the corp after being there for a while, you can always create a 2nd account for PvP and you still have the option to move the missioner to that PvP corp.

Give it a few days training and you'll be fine. A lot of peopel train up to be able to use tons of market orders, personally I'd rather lower the cost PER order. Once you understand how the market(window) works you only have to buy/sell 1 item a day to make a nice profit, combine that with a few more and you'll actually make a small fortune.
