Had an issue crop up this morning where Eve appears to have lost the Windowed screen resolutions except 1024x768 (the native desktop resolution).

I can edit prefs.ini and run in 800x600 but the resolution menu still only shows 1024x768, the real problem though is the fact that I'm certain the window I was previously using was larger than 800x600 but smaller than 1024x768 but I cant remember what it is.

Any ideas?

You have to go into your system resolution file. Google it. Or into your graphic driver software and you can set custom resolutions to whatever you want.

I had the same problem on Vista 32. My desktop resolution is 1680x1050 and that's all EVE showed in Windowed mode, despite the fact that it's running at lower than the full desktop res. I resolved it by doing the following.

Open up the display settings. Change my desktop resolution to anything else, then change it back to 1680x1050. I had EVE open while I did this. Now EVE shows all the different Windowed possibilities.

As far as creating custom resolutions (900x700 or whatever), those need to be added via your gfx card driver.

It's not working for me though - Windows XP with an ATI Radeon x1650. Windowed mode can only be set to my desktop resolution at 1280*1024.

While my desktop resolution is at 1400*1050 it shows that as the windowed mode option, together with 2560*1600

CCP needs to fix their stuff.

multimonitor support and ui scale are a MUST and without 3rd party software. this is 2009 and not 1999

this is my problem:
i have a 24" widescreen monitor. 1920x1200 if i recall correctly. however, i use a bigger than usual windows taskbar (plenty of icons and also cpu temp and other stats in it) so the real size of my desktop would be 1920x1050 and there is no way i can set it like that in eve. i have to use 16??x1024 which leaves me with much unused space.
and i don't want to go full screen mode, because i have other applications open on both monitors and i want to access them without having to alt-tab or use buggy 3rd party programs.
