Perhaps an odd question, but as yesterday afternoon I had no troubles and the pingplotter graphs were fine, but in the evening jumping became hell and the pingplotter showed a failing routing node at above.net, could it not be that the packet loss is tied to this issue?

Since last night I have a consistant packet loss of 50 to 85% on so-1-1-0.mpr1.lhr3.uk.above.net. Since then jumping has been having the cameras shake like silly and grid only loading when I try to activate right clicking in space.

That would make a lot of sense tbh.

Just because a company hires attorneys to write paragraphs like that and to generally cover their ass doesn't mean they don't care about the final product they're making.

Sounds great. Since you guys don't have this problem, it would be nice to know what OS you are using (and other specs)? Something on your end is obviously making you immune to this bug. I myself can't travel more then a couple of jumps before I need to relog.

We had half a fleet that had to relog doign just 1 jump yesterday night. Any sort of offensive fleet operations is impossible with this bug around, so please fix it ASAP.

So CCP Gangleri what about a response about now with "yes we can see there is a problem and are working on it".

Or can you still not locate the problem, even with all the log files?

In this case CCP would have a hard time reproducing the problem..

That's not the cause. Some of us come in via eurorings.net and its just the same. In fact it has quite literally just happened to me again. No packet loss at all.

I have to agree with a j regard on this one although i feel a bit dirty saying it but the game is unplayable no one wants to use gates at this time in hostile areas its the kiss of death to both sides.
i myself had to relog 3 times in a 4 jump run thinking everytime would i log into a new clone at station
after the 3rd time i thought screw this why bother im sure all of us are feeling the same as getting our stuff back because of this bug is a pipe dream

as we get the same old cannot reproduce this huff bluff seems strange ccp that it has hit 6 pages of people getting this bug and im sure there are more peeps who have not posted

I don't get what's so hard to understand.

They can't reproduce it, and asked you guys to get LogServer logs whilst it's happening so they can.

They're not saying there isn't an issue.
They're saying there is, but they can't tell what's causing it without your help.

last night we had a fleet of 25 ships traveling about 20 jumps.

the FC had to do more than a hundred reinvites because of ppl needing to relog.

myself had to relog about 10 times. especially as we had just 6 jumps left. the issue then appreared after EACH and EVERY jump.

i remember our FC on vent after each jump "ok i see 1..2..3..4..5..6 ppl drop this time..."

i got 2 installations (for running 2 clients at once) and after 3rd time in a row i had the 2nd client started, password filled in so i just had to press connect after i saw the flickering stars. but nonetheless i never got around the auto-safe-warp-and-back.

CCP are clearly no longer reading this thread.

I personally am not too fussed if CCP screw up the patch, and general patching process. I am also not too fussed when game mechanics change for better or worse.

What I find simply rude is the apparent refusal of CCP to take their playerbase seriously. First of all, we had the 1.2 patch on SiSi in which bugs had existed for at least a week, numerous players had reported them, yet the patch was rolled out on time with no modifications - in fact, not even an admission from CCP that there is an problem.

We then see extensive issues on the 1.2 roll out on Tranquility. Once again, CCP ignore its player base initially, and only in the face of overwhelming protest will they even look at what the players feel is an issue. The only reply that we get from the Devs is some cryptic reply about their intentions, and an admission that their QA process had failed, despite the best efforts of the player-base.

We then see the fix to the 1.2 patch, and amazingly, nothing has changed. A flawed, chronically bugged patch is released on TQ. In the face of numerous players flagging an issue, rather than CCP thinking, "Oh no, we better check this and make sure another bug hasnt slipped through the cracks", we get a response that is basically a slap in the face for every player that has submitted bug reports, or even forum posts about issues with a "we cant reproduce it". This current gate bug would have to be the easiest bug ever to reproduce - simply travel a few jumps!! Even now, when people have posted the server logs, or submitted bug reports as requested, we are yet to get any response from CCP.

I can honestly understand CCP being dubious about players just whinging on the forums about the new patch, however, the balance of trust has now swung away from CCP. With the absolute failure of the CCP QA process, a reasonable person could now be expected to assume that bugs found are no longer client-side, but rather server-side. The manner in which CCP consistently deals with these problems would make a public relations professional weep - the best that players can hope for when attempting to assist CCP by submitting logs, or bug reports is silence, at worst they will receive an insulting "our servers show nothing", or even worse "we are unable to replicate".

In general, the average person will put up with alot of crap, on the condition that they are kept informed, and treated with respect. In the past week we have seen a total failure by both CCP QA and Customer Service, yet CCP management seem happy to accept the status quo, and continue pressing ahead to the dismay of their customers.

Stop being a moron several ppl have already done what was asked with the log server and the log server showing clear errors.
Just want them to confirm they are working on it and they can see the problem now!

The problem has NOT been fixed during DT!

I don't get what it is so hard to understand in the fact that you only have to create a plot course, activate the autopilot, and wait, to reproduce it.

Same CCP should be able to reproduce it. If they can't, they don't have a good QA division, or they lie.

The problem with your repro is that it only confirms that there is an issue. Which was already apparent by the petitions and bug reports sent to us as well as some of the posts in this thread. My first post in this thread was not implying that there was not an issue, just that we had not found out what exact order of events caused the issue.

I will no longer be following this thread after this post.

Can't say I blame you.

For all those posting "CCP You suck fix it", you are the problem. You take a hurriedly written and informal post, turn it into company-wide policy and proceed to lambaste everyone at CCP, calling them all incompetent asses.

And then you wonder why they don't respond to your bleatings?

I'm amazed they put up with us at all. This is why most other MMOs don't have devs even allowed to post on the forums.
