My problem is I have been wardec'd by a 27 man corp who do nothing but pvp. I have an industrail alliance, yes alliance but we are mainly miners and manufacturers, with a few mission runners and explorers. we have next to no pvp experience.

the wardec became effective this morning, so im looking for a merc corp or 2 to help us with this problem.

please only post here as i am using an alt and dont really check the mail.

Get your members to stock up on cheap T1 ships like frigates, destroyers and cruisers "depending what the enemy is flying" and fight them.

If you are serious about running an alliance then you need to make sure the people you got in the aliance will stick with it through good and bad times. So with that, put up a fight, get some experience, work as a team and most of all try to make it fun.

P.S. Do not smack talk the enemy unless you are prepared to face any consequences it may cause for the alliance on a whole, if you see a member smack talking them then tell them to STFU as it doesn't do carebears any good.

Mitsu, check out the Merc Wiki good list of active Mercenary Corps, with links to threads to get a feel for how good/bad they are.

Do your homework, narrow your list, and contact them directly ingame. Based on prior experience it's best not to post a "Need Mercs" thread in CnP as it will attract alot of scammers.

Edit:
Jimer's post is an example of a GOOD merc post, link to killboard, main posting. Use this as an example of what to look for.

Im in an allaince whos corp members do nothing but PVP, and nearly all of them are ****.

Dont get me wrong, they have some good members, but most arnt, even tho they dont do anything except pvp.

Now this 27 Man corp, how many are really active, cos its been my experiance that at least a third of most corps dont really take part in anything, that they are solo players who via loalty to the corp stay on the books, but only play now and then.

There a lots of guides im sure on how to beat better equipt fleets with cheaper, but more numerious ships. So get yourselves out there and practice,it takes less than 24 hours skil points to have a reasonable frigate up and running.

Picksomeone you thibk might be good at it to fleet command, and go try and fight the enemy. Hoenstly they will enjoy themselves, but will probably not continue the war, (cos loosing a t2 cruiser in exchange for 10 t1 frigates aint worth it)

No matter how good the merc corp you get is, the original corp will almost certianly still be able to disrupt your normal business, so you just end up lossing money twice. If you must hire someone, hire some teachers (consultants) to teach you how to defend
