WE are one of their biggest sources of testing, and WE didn't find this bug on SiSi when it was live over there. WE were too busy super-fitting battleships with moduals that have been bug free since the dawn of time, testing our tanks instead of features. Wake up... if your going to whine about this crap, the testing forum sure as hell isn't the right place to do that. |

Lame... IF u read carefully through threads in this forum and look dates... Then u'll see that this bugs was originally found on SiSi some of them more then week ago... People were actually testing them reporting them... But looks like CCP wasn't reading... I knew all that bugs before patch was on TQ and i talked about them before patch as many other people... So u are wrong... |

Edited by: Karazack on 15/05/2009 22:59:41 Actually all of the problems/bugs were reported on the forum here (apart of the invisible ship bug which seems to be quite rare). |

Check the Original Post Date. One week before the patch hit TQ. The thread has had ZERO developer replies. It had numerous people pointing out the cliff the patch was about to jump off, and then it even had people pointing out the icebergs that the sinking boat was about to hit shortly before the patch hit. |

I pay to play a game, the second I get paid to test a game is the second I can be held responsible if something isn't working as planned. If CCP's QA isn't up to par (and it has never been afaik) then that's CCP's issue, I'm guessing with the increase in subscriptions and the revenue from that they could hire some proper QA. You know, like other companies do. |

It is one thing to 'report' or 'complain' about a bug on this forum and it is another thing to submit a proper bug report..!!
To be honest the response of CCP on this forum is a bit poor.
But!! I my experience, their response on submitted bug reports is 100%..!! within 2 business days. And from the 10 or so bug reports I have sent in, about 8 were associated to a problem and fixed within 1 or 2 patches.
I have seen posted in the last weeks of players quitting, because they wanted ‘first-time-right’ patches, or they wanted CCP to fix their dysfunctional cable connection, but did not provide CCP with the technical information to help them.
Or they demanded 6 figure salaries and a room with a view for filling out a bug report. Wake up !! This is a game !! not some piece of live support software or guided missile program !!
It is for your and other EVE players benefit. IF you took some time to fiddle around on SiSi every now and then AND fill out a bug report IF you experience something fishy !!
It is easy to point out (plausible) faults in CCP software development, but do not blame them for your lake of participation !!

STFU. Re-read the timestamps on the threads. This was reported to CCP way in advance of the release of the patch and you will note ZERO dev responses! Not our problem - we did more than we should seeing as we aren't paid to do Q&A. |

Like any other software developing company CCP uses BUG REPORTS !!
Yes CCP could and should be more interactive on this forum !!
But !! I would rather have DEVs and Bug hunters spend their time going over bug reports and follow standard (best practice) software development procedures and get these bugs fixed a.s.a.p.
Then !! have them spend too much time going through (unsubstantiated) complaints and ‘reports’ on this forum and trying to filter technical and helpful information from all the EMO..!!
This forum starts to look more and more like CAOD !!

This made me chuckle. The irony of a guy talking about emo and caod in a post that's 50% bold and 50% exclamation marks. Back on topic. Unlike most CCP devs I do read the GD forum and it appears most of the bugs were bug reported, especially the one about the client not working at all, which most certainly prevented a lot more testing being done and a lot more bug reports being made. If the Devs are ignoring bug reports explaining that large numbers of people can't even log in then it's pretty fatuous to assert that it's the player community's fault that more testing wasn't done and more bug reports raised. |

yes CCP is to blame, no one else is!
They are the creators of the game, they're the ones getting the money, so it's THEIR responsability to offer us a service worth our money! volunteers working for free is not our problem, it is still their problem, period. |

I guess you should submit a bug report regarding your webbrowser showing more exclamation marks and bold characters then there are actually in the text. |
