im sorry, but im tired of the terrible attitude and service i constanly get from it seems every GM that eventually responds to any petition i might have (sometimes weeks later). never once have they accomidated my petition, so they've all been a waste of time. each time ive talked to a GM the response was almost as if they couldnt be bothered to help a mere player with a SIMPLE problem. well, great job once again CCP - keep up the good work. i for one will be looking for a new game to give my monthly fee to.

It seems as if there's a discrepancy between your understanding of what a GM is supposed to do, and what a GM is supposed to do.

To bridge this understanding, you would have to actually learn about this difference and adjust your perspective. Only then are you able to critically judge whether you were mistreated or not.

Allow me to be presumptuous and speculate that you won't, and will continue your charades of "OMGIMRIGHTCCPSUCKS".

ok, explain to me exactly what it is you'd like to to learn so that i might 'adjust my perspective' to your liking, please. and as for the OMG IM RIGHT thing, mebbe you should read your own post? a bit full of yourself there, maybe? either way i fully appreciate the quibbling over details, a GM isnt a GM but its a GM with a slightly smaller M. nice.

The GMs I have dealt with have been great. I write clear petitions about my problem and they help me. The only one that was left unanswered then after 5 days the response was summit a bug report was then my POS modules grouped up on top of each other.

If your petitions are written with the same attitude as your OP, it's no wonder.

GMs are human.

I notice that you don't give an example of one of your petitions, probably because it was for something stupidQuestion

He probably petitioned that he lost his ship to some guy and blamed "lag" to try and recoup the loss.

my petitions have nothing to do with ship losses, or trying to get anything else replaced for that matter. go away now, yeah thats right. buh bye

You can escalate the petition, or send an email to the right division of CCP (I think it's in Wrangler's sig). Coming to the forums with a complaint does nothing more than annoy everyone, and give CCP bad publicity (which may have been your intention in coming to the forums).

Odd, never had a rude GM or an unreasonable one. Not saying they might not exist but personal experience tells me that without any further factual data I'm going to (have to) trust GM's doing the right thing. So as long as you're not telling us what exactly happened this is nothing more than a rant.

And incidentally, IF you tell us what happened it's going to get locked.

Well, if your petitions were written with as much detail as the few posts you wrote in this thread, its no wonder they couldnt help.

Well, that hasn't been demonstrated in this thread.

Most people don't really vary their public presentation much. What you see is what you tend to get.

Sofar every petiton I've made has been answered within 3-4 hours and the answer has been adequate each all of the times. Yes: it's including that time I've gotten my ship reinbursed after losing it in a bug I won't mention, yes it took alot a very long time but judging from the amount of idiots that use petition ship loss as über insurance that's totally understandable.

Based on my personal experience it's either:

->GMs that work during your timezone are bad
->Your petitons are bad

However I can't say that I'm sure it's the latter because your character is'nt a newly created one or an alt.

All kinds of things come into play. If you use poor English, use insulting words, or generally use a tone that sounds arrogant or childish ... you tend to get treated exactly as you act.

The problem I've seen happen most is so many players in so many games DONT KNOW WHEN THEY ARE BEING INSULTING. They sincerely have no idea that they sound like a raving jackass.

What is it? Is it because the younger generations are taught that they can walk all over employees with no concern for the company or product? Are we all raised listening to the crazy fat white woman in McDonalds complain scream at the pimple-faced teenager about how the burgers are horrible?

Does our collective societies promote the abject harrassement and abuse of the phrase 'the customer is always right'?

Who knows. As someone who's invested a lot in various businesses, I usually stand behind the business over the customer. I'll jump through hoops to get you a well made product, but when you insult my company or blatently disregard my own rights as a fellow human being? You'll find yourself on a quick trip out the door.

I don't NEED your business. I want it. But if getting that business means I have to put up with being insulted, berated, and vilified? I don't want it. There are other customers, and if my products is as good as I hope it is, I can live without that customer.

What does this have to do with anything? Nothing, probably. If you aren't sure if you're being insulting or not, walk away and come back later. Re-read it. Act like your seeing it for the first time.

If you're having a problem with their product, also remember who the GM's are. They aren't developers. They aren't programmers. They can't magically fix your issues. For the most part, unless it's a known issue with a known workaround, all they can do is forward it to the right department ... a process which still leaves you hours, if not days, from a solution.

Good luck, and hope your issue gets addressed.

Of the four or so petitions I've filed for various things, I've always had them filled or at the least explained why they couldn't be if that was to occur.

So for me, I've never had an issue. Maybe you can show us some of your petition writing skills and we can judge what the issue may be?

The problem you are having is that this is not a complaint this is a flame. This is like saying something like

"Goonswarm are jerks"

They are and most will happly admit it while they blow you up but this is still a flame. On the other hand

"Goonswarm are jerks because they blew up my carrier after they invited me into their corp"

Is a complaint. The thing is most of us like CCP because they make this kick ass game for us to play and I know i personaly had a petition a couple days ago that was resolved quickly and had no problems with the GM.

Could you be more specific? Perhaps post the GM convo on an external website and link to it?

It's like this.

If it's just a question about EVE, go to the forums.

If it's about harrasment, make it clear, concise, and to the point with all needed details. They will not tell you the outcome.

If it's about a ship that was lost due to lag, expect the "Our servers don't show a Problem" response. That's normal unless a BUG caused it. And to be a bug you must give them enough detail to reproduce said bug on their end.

If it's complaining about game mechanics, go to the forums.

If you are stuck, they're usually quite fast unless they are slammed with petitions like after a major content addition.

In short, the GM's are there to fix a limited number of problems, and to pass on the needed info so you can bugreport things/direct you to the right forum for your question.

It's most likely that you're asking for something they are unable or not allowed to do/say.
