Yeah....Does this new system mean that even if you dont use the training queue that you have to open it and click apply

I lost most of a days training (meh, i've lost more before) due to the skill queue not starting up the next skill.

I can only assume it was because I did not 'apply' the queue when I checked it was all set before I logged off. This is because it's worked fine for me since Apochrypha got released and that was the only thing I did differently.

So yes...

Always "apply" the skill queue if you view it.

Sorry to burst your bubble F'C and Alma....

I dont have any alt accounts......
I'm only train this character on the account I do have and no-one else uses my laptop so no-one else could have logged into a didfferent account on this laptop (so no "cache" issues).

So a single character on a single account has trinaed one skill out of one and the skill queue suffers complete failure even after relogging to confirm that the skill training was going ahead as indicated.

What a waste of a program - CCP just delete it so we cant select the wrong option from the menu....

My post wasn't clear. What I am pointing to is that skills don't officially register as being finished until you log in. Not only in the history, but in the case of alts, you are not allowed to train another character until you "FINISH" training the first character BY LOGGING IN even though the skill should have finished hours ago. I don't know how or even whether this relates to problems people are having, but it's worth noting.

1. Add skill Y to end of queue while training skill X
2. Apply
3. Log off
4. evemon shows me training skill Y after X is finished
5. login to eve (many hours later) -> character finished training skill X
(warning character has no skill in training queue empty aka many wasted hours because of CPP, buggy queue and quirky evemon conspiracy). (happend to me twice so far)

And i'm willing to bet 10 mils SPs the devs are just laughing their .. off at all the grief this queue is causing.

Moral : IGNORE THE QUEUE. NEVER ADD ANY SKILLS TO IT. IT DOESN'T WORK AND WAS NEVER INTENDED TO. Evil or Very MadEvil or Very MadEvil or Very MadEvil or Very MadEvil or Very MadEvil or Very MadEvil or Very Mad

I've never had a problem with the skill queue. Open it, add stuff, click apply, done. Just always remember to click apply and should be good.

Also, ignore EVEMon for a bit. It's (well my version)confused by the queue and doesnt realise about the training speed increase for new chars.

Finished training Blasters Spec III and began training Evasive Maneuvering V as planned using queue. However, rather than starting from 70% (where is should have been), it is now starting over at 0%. I also seem to be missing at least 200k SP. I have petitioned it and am eagerly awaiting response.

I'm happy for you guys. Wish you don't have to suffer this. I put the petition a week ago, still open... Today, the skill queue didn't work and the skill is set to cero, so another petition...

If you repeatedly are having problems using with the skill queue, why are you still trying to use it?!?
Set a level V skill, wait until the petitions are answered and perhaps a fix is announced and then after that try again.

Until (apparently) this morning I've been fine with the queue working as it should, but last night I set a skill with 14 hours remaining as my 1st skill, then added a few more, hit apply, everything showed like it should, I double and triple checked it before logging out yada yada,

This morning after downtime, my 14 hours left last night (so should have been about 3 left this morning) showed in EveMon here at work as having 26 hours to go.

When I get home from work and can check and see how it looks in EVE itself, I think I'm going to need to be filing petitions. I was set to finish 3 skills today with the queue, but now it appears that I won't be getting any......

LoL, that would make far too much sense Estel.

I've been using the skill queue across 3 accounts since it came out, and have had no trouble with it. Including when I've added partially trained skills, stopping those skills to train something else, and adding them again.
I've even closed the queue without hitting apply, which pops up a message (do you want to save changes), hit yes and had no trouble.

Only one time it didn't work I opened the queue to add a skill, and hit Ctrl-Q to quit the game without clicking apply. Obviously I should blame CCP for this, but I'm not gonna.

In the past I have lost skills jumping through gate as a skill finished, DON'T jump thought gates with seconds to go on a skill. I have had no problems with the skill queue as I don't jump gates as skills are about to change.

Most of the time the queue has been flawless for me, but I've had the same experience 3 times now, once on 3 different accounts. In each case I had 1 skill in the queue, then I did a right-click "add to end of queue" from the main skill tab (not the skill queue form) on a skill that was longer than 1 day. I opened the queue to verify it was set (even tried using Apply after the first problem) so everything looked OK at logoff.

In each case Evemon and Capsuleer reported the second skill was training, right up until the point I logged in. Then no skill was training, and the API also updated itself as no skill in training right away.

I have stopped using the queue for now, and I have a petition in.

If you're able to reproduce the problem (which it seems you are), also file a bug report.

Try this.

Pause Que
Add Skill
Hit Apply

Honestly I've lost more skills before the training que was introduced.

I set astrometric triangulation to train to level 2 and now it is at 0 with -50,000 skill points. it constanly counts up to 0 but everyday after downtime it resets to -50,000. I petitioned this over a week ago and have still not received a response. I hope they are working on this because it is very annoying.ugh

Uhhhhh possibly because CCP's input on the issue is

We have issued hotfixes for a number of skill queue problems, so they *should* be fixed now.

And if, despite that assurance, people don't use the queue the bugs that clearly remain will never get fixed?

Obviously there is a problem which affects some people under certain circumstances.
Why is it so hard to tell people "We know about the issue and are working at it" FFS

ANY ETA or Information would ne nice...

Apparently bad things only happen when you add skills to queue directly from the character info page.

Lately I've been using the queue manager to edit the queue and so far it's behaving properly.

I think they should remove the(deceiving) option to add skills to the queue from the main window and only allow queue editing from the queue manager...

Update yr drivers. Upgrade yr PC.

Since it's only affecting a small group of people, it's obviously a client-side issue.

Until I read this I had thought it only my imagination that I had lost some skill points. I too had the same issues as others with skills simply not training like the queue is supposed to be designed to do.

OMG- this is still an issue. MAJOR BUG

I have the EU boxed retail release.

I'm just 1m into my new chr on this great game, i logged out b4 i went to bed at around 9mp gmt and set eid mem 2-3 (2hrs), focus2-3(7hrs), electronics 3-4 (2h to go) + 2 gallante frig skills for after...

I logged in just now and at the top eid mem says nothing in the box, and no timer, the focus skill failed to even start and everything below was the same. So i dragged out eid mem, and clicked apply and even tho focus was at the top, it failed to start the timer. so i just relogged the client.....

eid mem says completion iminent but isnt completing, Focus has dissapeared from the skill que Re-appeared back on my chr sheet but says EXACTLY the same amount of time left as Electronics that is at the top of the que now counting down. even worse (or better?) Eid mem that ISN'T now in the que, IS counting UP. yes, the skill points on the left of the XXX/XXX are completing at the same time as elec in the que, tho the timer isnt going down????

major bug that is starting to worry me as this can be a real game killer as time and skills go on.

2 weeks and this is still happening

Queue is still buggy, after some troubles with it (freezing, removing skills, etc.), I start to play with it a litle and noticed few things to avoid possible bugs :)

- add skills to queue ONLY from queue window
- after opening queue window CLOSE character sheet window BEFORE you play with skills in queue
- drag&drop sometimes mess the queue, use right click menu option to add skill to queue or training it now
- don't forget to press APPLY after you are finished, otherwise queue is NOT saved
- avoid skills ending during DT

So far I am working with queue like above and it's working fine on 3 chars.

Iv lost a bit of SP on a few accounts , i think one of the main problems atm is queing a skill that is already partly completed.
For example today i was training medium pulse laser spec to 4 , was half done and i bought and trained up energy pulse weapon rigging to 1 , i didnt cancel pulse laser spec from the que , only paused it , as soon as the rigging skill was finished it started training the pulse laser spec skill back up , but from 0% instead of 40%. very annoying , specially since ccp are t6akeing 8+ to look at petitions atm.
