So here's what i'm confused about, i'm a pure PVP so i trained up mostly perc/willpower and ofcourse mem/intel for engineering and stuff. I have 11 attibute points in charisma, if i stick a +4 implant i got 15, so with this new feature, we can re-distribute up to 14 points anywhere we want. Naturally i'll take all my charisma out since i don't really use it. So my question is i guess, if i take out 14 points out of charisma and put them out into other attributes, it would leave me with 1 attribute point. So what if i lose my implant, does that mean i will have -3 attribute points or just 0? thats my question. i mean if i just have 11, i can only use 11, but if i have an implant i can use all 14...what if i lose my implant?

You can only redistribute the BASE attributes. You know, those that DO NOT take learnings and implants into account.

You have exactly 39 total base attribute points. You will still have 39 after a remap. You can have at most 15 in any attribute, and you have to have at least 5 in each to make the remap.

So does that mean since i had like 10 base points in charisma, i can only move 5, into like perception? since i got like 23 perception? i can make it 28 now? not 33?

so just for the record and so it's perfectly clear :

Am I right in thinking there's no point in training up certain attributes , like charisma which I never bothered training up , before a respec ?
Am I also right in thinking that this respeccing is pretty much meaningless to achura chars if you want more per/wil/int/mem ?

Each attribute requires at least 5 points as its base. So you cannot respec an attribute down to 1 point.

AZN Steve, only if you don't need to train alot of charisma skills.

your base is 3, the number 11 comes from yours skills and implants added to your base, your skills and implants dont change with the remap

Ignore everything on the right hand side - those are your skill based (i.e. learning skills) skill points, and the only way to increase those is to train learning skills, you cant decrease them at all.

The bars on the left hand side are your 'remappable' points. Now for some reason, when I did it yesterday, there were only 4 'white' bars and the rest were green - in reality it should be 5 'white' bars since you need to have a minimum of 5 points in each attribute after respec, on the left hand side, which is 5x white and 1x green bar.

Now if you reduce the green bars on any other attribute (except for 1, which must be there to give you the 5 minimum), these move to the bottom of the screen (press the '-' button next to any of your stats) where you can then press the '+' button next to the stat you want to raise to increase it up.

If you are an Acura character (with 3 base charisma) you will not be able to reduce charisma in any way, shape or form (unless you chose to increase it beyond 5 at character creation, but the majority wont have done this) and in fact you will have to put points into your charisma attribute in order to meet the 5 point minimum.

why the hell did they make a min of 5, i dont use charisma and dont wanna spend my points in that worthless attribute, but the only way to get my perception higher is to lose points in charisma:S

the idea was great but got f***** up somewhereSad

You have 11, but they are 3 base and 8 from skills/implants.

When you remap you need a minimum of 5 base. Not a minimum of 5 total. Therefore if you want to do any remapping you need to ADD 2 points to your charisma.
