You can train it

Öand then respec the points to something better (if you have over 19, eh?). At least that seems to be the way on Sissy atm. Ees zees correct?

I've just recently retooled my alt's skill plan to get him Orca-ready. Leadership V and some of the other command skills will keep me from respeccing for a while, actually. Might finish off the Trade skills while I'm at it, too.

this is starting to feel like a dead horse beating...

you can't re-distribute points gained from Learning skills group. you can only re-distribute base amount of points, which is 39. Empathy/Presence still increases only Charisma, and can't be used to increase other attributes.

good thing about Charisma is that reduces training time greatly for dedicated traders, and somewhat for dedicated missioners.

And a lot for dedicated gang boosters.

Incorrect.
You need to leave 5 base points into it, or else you can't respec.
That is, at max learnings (absolutely everything at L5) and set of +5 implants, the MINIMUM efffective charisma you can have is 22 after a respec.

I tested on Sissy with one of my char that has base Charisma 3 (18 with skill training and imp) I did not touch that skill at all and used whatever points I could for the others I wanted and it accepted, so unless something is different when patch comes out, as it stands you may remap your skills without having to put points into Charisma, and btw itís not base 5, its 6.

See here
Devs confirmed it (the ability to leave it below 5) as a recently introduced bug (you couldn't do that when respec was first introduced), a bug to be fixed before release.

P.S. And BTW, it's base 5, not base 6.

Just checked did not know about that bug, or that it was bug for that matter, thank you.
