So tonight, while asking a corp mate in Jita to pick me up a few things, I made out a list of fittings for him to get and asked him for me to get back to me on the price before he bought them.

Then I thought, "wouldn't it be nice if you could just take one of the saved fittings that we'll soon get and have an invoice appear of all the parts in the list with the best prices within a certain range, and then just click 'Buy'?" No more having to browse through all the market menus when you already know exactly what you want. Think of all the freed up market database quires!? (if implemented correctly...) Me and my corp mates agree, this should definitely be added.

What say thee pilots of EVE?!

But you still have to go and pick everything up right?

I would be easier yeah, and i don't know if it would even be a hard implement. I would like it.

*Thumbs up*

Correct sir. Aside from it making saved fittings ever so much useful, I really wanna stress the speed up you could get on TQ if lots of people shopped this way. Players won't have to go around through the market window so much, which in turn saves several queries for the database. End result, better performance while shopping in Jita!

What?
All the instant stress to the database would cause worse lag than now, why do you think all these delays for undock, dock, switch ships etc are there, it's so ?
When you buy an item there's a slight delay, imagine the stress for the DB when everyone in jita wants to buy 20 items at the same time..

Pleeeeaaaase do this! The worst part about having to get a new ship is spending half an hour waiting for market pages to load.

What ever happened to buying in bulk? If you're going through ships that fast, nothing wrong with keeping enough fittings around for 4 or 5 (or 10) load outs. Heck, just keep 4 or 5 ships fitted. Then when you get shot down and podded, you can just hop in a new ride.

As a side note, won't the scripts that place all these purchases STILL be accessing the market database? How will the scripts know which orders would be the best to buy? Won't the script have to access the same market data that you look at in order to determine which market posting to buy from? The only difference being it wouldn't have to be transmitted across the net to your computer. (And these are usually only a few KB in size, so not much lag there.) I just don't see where the market database savings are. At best, you don't create any extra work. At worst you create a significant amount of lag.

This idea would make it a bit easier on the player and would be a handy tool to have access to. That at least gets my vote (especially if they ever implement that Interbus idea they have of paying to have items delivered within a constellation). Until they implement Interbus, I'll still keep several ships ready to fly. I want to get back in the action right away, not chase down parts for 30 minutes.

I think we also need an auto pvp button :P

/offtopic

With no contol over what you are actually buyin things can get expensive really fast. Even if it's the cheapest for it's type within set range. Lazy man's way to get poor. :)
Mmmm, good idea actually =).

I was thinking about this the other night. There should be a filter to sort by station, system, or region and one to set the threshold for isk % above market value to spend on the fittings.

Imagine if you could share a saved fitting to, like with bookmark. You could even sell saved fittings.

Another thing that would be nice ,a bit off topic, would be the ability to create books to trade from your notepad. Ingame E-books and short stories here we come, a booming trade in player content in the form of writings and fitting ideas.

Yes Pleeeeeaaaase, I already know how to get rich with it.

1/Go to jita 4-4

2/Buy every damage control II in station.

3/Put them back at 150M/unit

4/Profit. Cool

Already posted this in the suggestion thread. You would also ofcourse need it to show you the price of the fittings and a "Are you sure?" pop up :P

I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of version of this implemented, maybe as an advancement to the quickbar. What I'd also love to see is more sort variability in the market search window. Even just a secondary sort parameter would be nice. ie Sort by Jump first, Price second.

The settings page has filter options, but they're not practical when you have to keep changing them depending on the item you're working with.
