Hi guys. I'm not sure where to post this as it's realy something that needs an official response from CCP.

As well as Eve I'm a big fan of the Microsoft Flightsim series, and am a memeber of a small group who design freeware add-on aircraft for the curret version FS 2004. More out of interest then anything I've started laying down the basics of an Amarr Executioner. Though the underlying mechanics will be very different from the models used in Eve the imagery and idea will still belong to CCP, so I need to know who I have to contact to discuss copyright issues with.

The other question I guess, would anybody be interseted in seeing any Freeware Eve models for FS2004?

Depending on your jurisdiction making a copy of an Executioner for use on FS 2004 free of charge is considered "fair use" and not subject to the copyright CCP naturally claim.

on a related matter is there a way to export or extract the ship models so you can view em outside of game (e.g. for making renders for website images)?

as for the copyright bit, i think if you contact kieron with your question he will surely look into that. from what i have experienced with ccp policy so far i don't see a problem there.

I was thinking on this, and also thought if I offered the model to CCP, so that it could only be downloaded through the official Eve website, then that gives them control of it too.
