that was some pure crap, soon as they jumped in i couldn't do anything. i had to click the station to dock for a few minutes to get out. i rate this extreme lag for the amount of people that were fighting.

Very bad lag, everyone in fleet lagged out. I hit warp nobody scramble me and I did not warp for about 40 seconds. I then came out of warp to find my drones out and npc ships shooting me. It was like the drones I had out at gate followed me in warp. NPC's where already shooting me when I came out of warp!!!

We had to call fight off because of the very bad lag. Mods would not turn on for 30 seconds plus. Enemy fleet jumped to us from kamela. Maybe the worst lag I have been in, in a fleet with such small numbers that we had.

About 05:00 EVE time on Sunday (Monday morning EVE time), horrid lag in a pretty small fleet fight -

System: Kourmonen (on the Kamela gate)
# pilots: around 40, certainly less than 50
performance: 15-30 seconds module and command (warp) lag at times, armor tanked battleships were going from somewhere in shields to exploding without updating

Was sitting at the gate with drones deployed. As soon as the enemy uncloaked everything bogged down. Was not able to move my ship or remote rep my teammates. One minute I'm shooting and have shields and armor, the next I'm in a pod.

I have been in many battles and experienced pretty much all of what people have posted.

The amount of lag gotten can be pretty random for me. In a recent battle I started off with no lag, then lag started a bit and had like 30 sec module lag for awhile. Then entering space starts.

For me, Once entering space starts, it means lag has cleared up. Sure everything is screwed up and reloading but if you try to warp or turn on modules at this time it works. Its hard to click anything because of the reloading, but if you warp away at this point it will clear up(sometimes takes 2 warps). (one time though I had an allready dead target locked, and my guns stuck on, so I could not switch them to a diff target, and had to dock to fix this)

Then of course I need to reset the overview by double clicking the top of it. Also turning brackets off and on to clear up some bracket bugs.

Everything stop to react on my commands and the game entered in a kind of loop, reseting my camera and so for about 30 seconds.

So I've clicked to warp out to a belt, after a minute I was there being shoot by rats. The Abbadon's icon that I was locking remained locked on my screen even after I appear in the belt.

The game remained a bit lagged even after I leave the battle, so I had to restart the game to it be playable again.

I have 4Gb of memory and a ATI 4870 on a AMD X2 3Ghz.

FW region is actually unable to sustain a medium to small battle, unhappily.

Dear CCP:

Overhaul your server architecture. Assigning systems to single resource-bound servers is a recipe for failure. There's no reason to spend the manpower necessary to receive "large fleet" requests, nor is it necessary to allocate nodes manually.

Set up a true grid server (server cluster) using your existing hardware that automatically allocates resources (CPUs and RAM) to high-latency systems. When lag finally rears its head again (unlikely), add more nodes to the cluster to extend the available resources.

This will require a revamp of your Python interpreter, but will be well worth the investment.

Problem solved.

Locking counted down multiple times (4 or more) before lock was established
Modules took about 10-20 seconds to react.
Could not Remote Rep someone that was 500m from me due to one of the following reasons:
-The target in system no longer exists
-The target is too far away
Then I started entering system over and over and my overview would be flooded with multiples of all the WT's

Pretty much the same as above. Sad show alltogether. Managed after a couple of minutes, after what seemed to be "rewinds" of my ship performing actions that had allready been executed, to warp to an asteroid belt only to arrive there and see wartargets still in the overview.

Makes Fu said CCP.. You and us need FW working . ;) Make us happy.

WE could have fights of twice that on each side befre with no lag....

well if ccp really wants to investigate this lag then how about an arranged fight where a Dev or GM can watch whats going on with the server?

i am sure we would find enough people on both sides to set that fight up if it's to fix this damn lag that is DESTROYING FW

PVP Lag (and any kind of lag for that matter) has been terrible for the past month ... I have lost many ships that shouldnt have been lost. This needs to be fixed ASAP. I actually dont have any locations or times as i rarely go in fleets any more due to this problem.

ha yeah i lag in 10 vs 10, im an fc and lag was making me think we was wining and WE WAS NOT and we lost a cap ship and bills of isk in ships

lag = lost isk and no fun

no lag = lost isk but we have fun

ccp you no wot it is but it will cost you to fix it, eh eh

by the way ccp we want our isk back from the lost ships due to lag, 30b in all the fw

First here is my configuration :
8800 gt, core 2 duo 6650, 2 giga ram corsair, gygabite motherboard. Every effect off, everything off..... My comp can run EVERY game with high end graphic (crysis for exemple), i got the heaviest internet connection we can get in france, i dont lag in any game, my comp is just perfect. So its not my configuration nor my internet connection.

So last night we were in abune, 20vs20 aproximatly. I start to shoot my first target, then i got heavy desynch, nothing respond, module take 3 minute to do actually something, i was unable to lock (i see the lock progression, but it restart indefinitaley cause of lag). Then i had a "entering space" message for about the rest of the fight :/. I Think it was something like 3 min lag between what i see in screen, and what the FC said. I thought i was dead (cause of the entering space message) but the fight was finish, and everything get back to normal after the fight.

Then, we catch 2 guys in front of a station near abune, 2... same thing happend, lag and desynch (for less time but still....), no module reponse, nothing...

I hope it help, fix it plz

Hmm, - must be good news, I guess : ram san 500 upgrade, replacing the old servers. Hope that gives "power back" guarantie for our FW systems.

Why is there no comment in here ? - Would be nice to have a confirmation from the DEVs, asap, so that we can shedule some Battles after Hardware upgrade.

Hi

I filed this one as a bug - same symptoms but NOT FW related. I was starting a mission.

System: Inari
Time: 15:33 - Feb 13, 2009
Pilots: 1

Everything was lagged. The module timers stopped spinning (as a mission runner I didn't have these off). Modules appeared to deactivate. Overview was frozen did not update with targeting information. Damage window reported incoming damage from mission NPCs. Ship picture updated very slowly to show the damage (FPS might have been 1/minute). Chat channel displayed on part of the screen did continue to update. I tried to log out since it was impossible to warp away from the mission. When I logged back in I was in my pod. There was no appreciable lag prior to the mission and none when I logged back in after filing the bug report (about 5 minutes). The bug report number is: 70186

Anyway, it sounds like the same issue so I thought a data point unrelated to FW might be useful.

We weren't even engaged before and I was having lag to where things would go back a few frames, go back to normal speed only to repeat the frame rewind after another few seconds. So I tried to involve CCP into the issues around FW. I created a stuck petition to get a rapid response to an upcoming fight.

Battle in Tannakan (0.2 system). 16 vs. 13. Battle was lagged to hell. Client was not updated. Ships showing as intact were destroyed. Locking timer did not update.

I petitioned my last loss and it got denied, even when linking your GM's to this thread. Now it's time to not play in FW anymore until CCP fixes this lag. If you give players a game where they dont have fun, players will choose a new game. It's easy as this.

Fight in Kamela 40 odd on both sides complete desynch within 10 seconds of fight starting... useless...

Soon as we engaged lagged out. Couldent do anyting fleet once again had to be called off and we could not fight do to it. It would of been a great fight but once again its ****ed. Thanks ccp... about ready to fk off with faction warfare

I went from 100% sheilds to zero stuc and then I returned to 100% again like nothing happend!!! and then finally I go back down to zero struc and then it blew up finally my mega. and then I clicked warp and waited 3 mins for my ship to warp in my pod YEAH theres no lag here in FW space...
