EVE Online: Quantum Rise 1.0.5 will be deployed this Tuesday, 27th January, 2009. Downtime is schduled to start at 11.00 GMT and is expected to to be extended until 12.15 GMT.

The patch introduces the new Redeeming System along with various fixes. Patch Notes are available; updates to the notes may be added should any further items be cleared through the Quality Assurance process. These updates will be highlighted with green text.

Also, the current SISI client gives me a much higher framerate count than TQ, I hope whatever it is that does that gets in.

For me what ever this patch does I hope it speeds the frame rates cuz my self and others have it where it is stalled or in my case the FPS goes to near or ZERO. not fun.peace 0/YARRRR!!

Not likely, DX10 is not backward compatible. Even Vista installations require DX9 to be installed.

Works fine for me aswell and framerate is not an issue. Though i run a GTX 280 card. Think that does some work ugh

how about the client freeze I get when going from ship to pod while in space?

from the last time i got popped

I've had the bug, and found that if you wait about 20 sec after pausing the skill your currently training the bug does not affect the jump. Seems to be if you jump immediately after pausing the skill. So, try waiting a minimum of 20 sec and see if that works for you.

Well thats really not a fix its a work around that we have to do... id like to see an actually FIX to this too!ugh

Will try next time, but I recall in my case it has to do with how long since I logged in I try clonejump. If I clonejump just after logging in, no problems usually. If I have been around for a while doing stuff, no dice.

Sheesh... first greatly pleasantly surprised, as I though the Redeeming System would have something to do with a way of getting out of the -5.0 faction standing "black holes", that have been messing up life for many players over the years.

Instead it is yet another Marketing gimmick.

No. This system enables players to buy a PLEX directly from CCP, instead of buying an ETC and converting it into a PLEX.

That is very surprising, (1) since the new client that we will release tomorrow was tested on Multiplicity and (2) the current Singularity client is just the Tranquility client.

No, we moved the check from the client into the installer and patcher but the old code leaked back into the client so we were checking twice. We removed the check from the client so now it's only the installer and patcher that check the DirectX version.

So, we can buy plexs directly from ccp? Meaning we don't need to go threw 3rd party vendors? Do you guys not like your vendors anymore? Or am i totally misunderstanding this. When you say buy from ccp, do you mean with isk or with real money?

My understanding of your statement is that we will be able to go to eve website, insert credit card, log in with plex in hanger. Am i right?

A work-around is to leave the ship and enter a pod before you clone jump.

The PLEXes that you buy this way are the same as when you convert an ETC to PLEX. Exact same items and usage.
