Hard drive is a little small, but it's a decent spec. Should last you a good while before you need to tinker with it, especially if you don't download much.

You could have saved money had you built it yourself, or bought a better video card than that 9800GT. While it's not a bad card it certainly isn't fantastic either. Doesn't say which motherboard it is unfortunately, I hope it's the DS4 or better because those board love FSB!

If I removed one 320 from my system my entire PC would come to a standstill and I have 1x120, 2x320 and 1x500GB.

I actually looked into it, cause I am just really bored right now, and if he bought all the parts from Newegg, would be about $5 less. Of course this was assuming the most expensive motherboard and an upgrade version of Windows.

If we look at this page we see that there're one, one, one, no more than one type of P45 motherboards. I would like to thank you for pointing out an obvious mistake to a Gigabyte lover.

I will repeat myself again, if it's the DS4 or better the sucker, paired with a good CPU will love FSB. I have never had the opportunity to explore the 'real' limits of my board as my Q6600 can only go as far as 380 stable. I have stress tested the motherboard and it's capable of over 430MHz but, again, my CPU is limiting my overclock.

Only one thing wrong with it:

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium

If you throw that piece of crap out and install Ubuntu 8.10, you will actually experience what it feels like to have a fast operating system despite having all graphical effects enabled. Im running it as my main system and have Windows in VirtualBox. Think its been more than a month since I even started Windows in it. You start to appreciate Ubuntu more and more the more you learn how to set it up and configure it the way you want.

It's a decent spec for a shop bought one.

I have 2x180 and 2x1tb and mine would also grind to a halt if I removed any one of them.

It's a good machine. Don't worry about hard drives - just add more as and when you need them. And a 9800GT should be able to handle any game at good settings and playable FPS.

It's just a shame about your forum signature. Razz
