'Ello, on December 21st ( 22:00 EVE TIME ) we invite you to be a part of NoobSwarm! NoobSwarm will be a giant fleet ( 100+ ) of rookie ships. We will have a nice romp through low sec and nullsec, destroying all pirates in our path! Our strategy - They can't target all of us!

We welcome pilots of all ages - both new and old players are encouraged to grab a rookie ship and head to Aunia on Sunday December 21st, where we will be assembling.

If the venture is succesful, we have big plans: First a fleet, then a corporation, and then finally an alliance! All will learn to fear the sound of a civilian gatling gun!

1) Upgrade from civi gun to something which actually does damage YARRRR!!
2) Indicate time of event in eve standard time.
3) I love the idea of a fleet. But taking it up to an alliance level ? It's been done before Wink.

Well you know I'm in. You do need to add a time, I suggest 22:00 eve time.

And I don't plan on Civ Gatlings, I fit my rookie ship for the fight like would any other ship.

Standard Reaper Fit:
High: 2 x 125mm Gatling Autocannons
Med: Warp Scram
Low: 200mm Plates
And can't forget a light drone since every rookie ship has room for it.

This or similar setups work on all rookie ships just change the guns to the race equivalent.

I would also reccomend this setup, or if possible, upgrade to named autocannons [i think you can fit 150's, can't remember].
took out a vexor in a reaper.. was great fun.YARRRR!!
mintar max gunnery noob alt ftw.

Also, if you wanna change the date to the 21st it'l give you more time to get people together.. and also i can take part Wink

I would definitely go for a dual tech 2 light drone Velator of doom. Point in mid and maybe a DCU in low?

The Velator is another great rookie ship, especially since it can hold 2 light drones instead of 1 like the rest. There are lots of great setups that we can do for these ships and all we need is people for the swarm.

Hey guys, sorry was internet-less for teh weekend ><.

Anyways, 22:00 sounds good. And I think I'll put it on Dec 21st to allow more time as was suggested.

As for the fittings, I just said civ gatling because I thought it'd be funny, I plan on having everyone fit to the best of their ability :p.

Hopefully we'll have some guys webbing and some scrambling, etc.

December 21st at 22:00 EVE Time, sound good all?
If that is successful we'll make ones for other timezones :)

Biggest problem is when GoonSwarm shows up with 5 smartbomb cruisers.

The joy will be over in 10sec even before you left highsec.

What exactly is classified as a "Rookie Ship?" Is it the ship you get when your ship is destroyed? Or any cheap Fragate?

It is the ship you get for free when you dock in your pod without having a ship at that station. From your description, it's the one you get when your ship is destroyed.

Should be 17:00 ( 5 pm ) your time on Sunday.

According to this site: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/eastern-time/

EST = GMT -5 hours
eve-time is the same as the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

To check if I'm not mistaken, log into eve. Then check if the eve-time at the bottom of your status bar is indeed 5 hours ahead of your local time.

I hope this helps.
