This test was only done on a Tachyon Beam Laser w/ Multi Crystal, and a Tracking Computer II..

Without Tracking Computer..
Optimum Range = 26,400 m
Tracking Speed = 0.0167046

With Tracking Computer..
Optimum Range = 30,360.0 m
Tracking Speed = 0.0167046

Notice the tracking speed is the same.

This is a display bug, it does modify tracking, but to have show up, activate comp, activate turrets, deactivate turrets, reactivate turrets, show info. The tracking benefit is in effect the second you turn it on ( well next shot anyway ).

I was told to:

Take all guns and computer off.
Put computers on.
Log out and in.
Put guns on.

And it worked, when i activate my tracking comps my gun tracking actually changes now.

I wasn't sure of this either, but it shows up when the guns are active in the info window.

You know those tracking enhancers mean diddly squat. They won't help you hit things when it really counts. Tracking enhancement too marginal but the range bonuses are nice

That's what my corpmate thought when I tried to explain to him why I love blasters so much ( we did some testing ;) ), then he activated it. And afaik he still has that tracking comp fitted. The range bonus is nice for long rangers, the tracking for short rangers.
