lolwut? What game are you playing because you certainly aren't playing EVE. Or did you miss the 30+ page threads stating that BS guns cannot hit BC/BS moving at any speed at all. Turrets got nerfed more than missiles, l2p.

Turret hacs do more damage than the cerb, even with HAMs. If you don't think so, your gunnery sucks. Not to mention guns can have improved hits, where missiles can never do more than their normal damage. CCP isn't going to stand by when their biggest subscriber base (mishy raven pilots) explode with hatred. They will change missiles again, and probably soon. So I rather it not being a tracking change of sorts and something like more damage.

Actually, that depends. First off I would've expected you to use the sacriledge as an example, rather than the cerb, being a ham-platform rather than a HML, but fine. I'll go along.

Now, a cerb, using 5 t2 ham launchers, max skills, 3 bcus and cn terror missiles - for comparative use only - deals 458 theoretical dps.
A Zealot, which would be the one coming closest, cannot reach that far with close range weapons at all. At best it gets to 36km, and then dealing 251 dps with an equivalent setup.
Comparing with beams instead - and hold on to your pony, I know what you're saying can't compare long range to short range like this, but it's all for comparative reasons. A zealot with 5 HBL II, 5 AN Standard crystals deals optimal damage to 45km. And a staggering 352 dps.

So actually... missiles got more damage but two things to compensate for it - Traveltime and explosion attributes.

Sure just raise it, by fitting and using a target painter.

Turret users have to gimp our tackle with tracking computers and extra webs.

Umm... what?

"That other dude" has clearly never actually used large guns, or at least not within the last year or two.

Have him get back us when he does.

Against close-range moving targets, large guns almost always miss. In case the concept is alien to you, that means "zero damage". Torpedos always hit. If you're smart and fit a painter and (ideally) a web, they'll also be doing lots of damage.

IMHO this is the single most stupid thing I have ever heard.

All Caldari ships have had the advantage. Drake being the prime example = Passive tank.
You can solo lvl4 missions, with no trouble, get nossed, neuted, webbed, scrammed and it's not a problem.

Gallente BC not even reMOTEly that lucky.
Nossed/neuted = Death
Tank it destroyed if you want more dmg in anything that isn't Caldari.
Say what?

May I introduce you to the Myrmidon? It's a Gallente BC that passive-tanks as well as the Drake, does more damage at longer ranges against a larger variety of targets using any damage of your choice. Oh, and it's faster and takes more cargo as well.

And of course, missile boats generally have more mid slots than turret boats.

On top of that, a painter will also help your gangmates increase their damage output.

Sounds like somebody didn't use Scorch M.
I think you mean 31km, and about 450 dps. Or out to 47-50 km if you use a TE + locus fit (used to be 60km :P)
Also, nobody uses Standard :-/

You're quite right no-one does. And yes, you can use rigs and tracking enhancers. To the rig part - as can the missile spewers. You're once again completely putting things out of context. The zealot can very well deal more damage, and very well deal damage further out. Just not both at once, which really is the main issue here.

If you use scorch, your range will be less, and hence the damage at final range less(Approximated, it might actually be similiar, but... you get the idea... especially since only optimals were considered above).
