I am really interested in Heavy Interdictors, and I would like to know what ships work well with them. Also, once pinned, what would be a good ship combo to take out a cap ship, and can a HIC have good DPS with the proper skills and fitting?

Thank you for you time. If you can give me additional info about HICs, I would be extremely grateful, as I fear I don't know everything about them.

Well HICs are needed for killing super-caps, Motherships and Titans. Your standard vanilla carrier can be tackled by a normal warp disruptor. Provided they don't have support 5-10 battleships with a few heavy neuts fit should be able to break a carrier eventually. Assuming they don't call for help that is.

As for damage. A HIC should beat a T1 cruiser in terms of raw DPS, but that's about it. They aren't really meant to take on hardened targets solo. They're meant to hold down and kill a weak WCSed up target, or hold down something larger until your friends show up and kill him.

Also, every ship should compliment a HIC, even if it's an enemy HIC, just be nice and give lots of compliments, cause if you smack-talk, he'll tackle you and then you're dead when his friends arrive.

The only "combo" that stands the chance of taking out a capital would be a hic and a moros, other than that you've got no chance of breaking a capital tank with one ship, and chances are you won't break its tank just with that either. As far as two person combos, probably the best duo would be a hic and a rapier or huginn, as it can prevent the target simply slowboating back to the gate before the hic can kill it. As far as dps, yes and no. For a cruiser, a hic can do some pretty good dps, but it's not going to break the tank of a well skilled battleship, I'd also be hesitant trying to take down a well skilled bc as well with one

It wont break a well skilled one but they do have the tank to help take on crappy fitted BS; I've soloed an autocannon (and artillary) armour tanked tempest (and shield tanked) before :D
