Hello Capsuleers We're experiencing network issues causing lag and connectivity problems in EVE. Our Operations team are working on this and we'll bring you updates in our forum thread as fast as we get them! Please keep all comments and queries in this thread. Update @ 1625 from Mindstar - PostTranquility will be going down for an unscheduled reboot at 16.50 GMT Tuesday 28th October. This downtime is scheduled to last until 17.20 GMT. The downtime is required is to fix network issues between our core switch and load balancer. We apologise for any inconvenience and we hope to have the server back up and running as quickly as possible. Update: Downtime extended to 17.40 GMT. Update: The Tranquility reboot did not fix the network issue, our Operations team is looking into it and we'll give you more information as soon as we have it. Update: Tranquility will be taken down for a second unscheduled downtime at 21:40 GMT. We expect it to be back up and running at approximately 22:10 GMT. Update: We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the issues tonight, we had problems with our core switch causing network communication issues which we have worked around and Tranquility is now up and running. We have experts looking into the problem to find a solution and meanwhile we are monitoring the server around the clock. Once the experts have found a solution we will inform everyone on exactly what happened, what the problem was and the resolution to these problems through a dev blog or a similar venue. |

Edited by: Ben Stark on 28/10/2008 13:28:21 Lag seems to be gone for me, it was Telecity.net that was where the big jump in lag was. The main webpage is Up for me now. |

The client is already connecting to the server (whether or not the login progress bar is showing). Please wait. |

I got disconnected and when I logged back in most of the lag seems to be solved. Seems a bit sluggish but doable. |

Edited by: J''oorus on 28/10/2008 13:42:40 Edited by: J''oorus on 28/10/2008 13:41:00 Im haveing some serious lag problems, I am disconnected time and again.. mostly from 17:00 - 22:00 Icelandic time, but then again I play EvE at this time of day, but I suspect that this problem presists regardless of when you play. ( Yes I'm an Icelander and I live in Reykjavik )
Sometimes it takes forever to log in .. and when I try to dock, and/or undock from stations, either I have to wait ad-Infinitum or I'm thrown off .. and I get the error message .. " Connections to server lost!" ( I want you to know that I stay CLEAR of JITA and other over populated systems like the plague )
This has happened repeadedly during the last weekend and yesterday evening. ( 24th - 28th October ) I do not have any connection problems, I have double checked and triple checked, I can reach the internet both in the country and abroad.
This kind of thing has never happened before the patch was made live .. and I suspect that it it the cause of this problem I, and many of my friends who play EvE, are experiencing at the moment.
I Sincerely hope that you people in CCP are going to work diligently to solve this VERY ANNOYING problem .. this makes the game almost Unplayable, please act swiftly.
J'oorus.

The lag is awful and the connection dropped twice in 3 mins (I do not normally experience any connectivity issues). I'm in central US, good luck with a quick fix (she said hopefully.) |

There are still some problems however, timeouts and ping spikes still occur...
Edit: just noticed these pings are to sisi but that shouldn't matter too much as tq goes trough the same hops and had similar results. |

So laggy that i lost some items in a trade window...
My screen showed that i was trading to my alt, a station trade, and when i pressed accept, someone elses name popped up and they got the stuff. Seems the server hadnt relayed to my client a change of position in the guest window.
Petitioned it but CCP probably wont answer for 3 years |
