I was looking of my dominix or megathron, and I was thinking... How many people contain this ship ? that's true, are you alone in your battelship with so many windows ? :)

And from here comes my idea,
instead of increase power of gun or modules, why do not have a crew ???
performance of your crew could upgrade capacity of your ship, we could immagine some possibility :
-teams could contain 10 to 5000 in frigs or capital ship !!!
-so each member give a small bonus, by example +0,0005% to agility I don't know, or accuracy !!
-each member could evolve with time , by example increase bonus to +0,00055% .
-when you're podded, pod, could contain 5 or 10% of all your current crew (save some people :'()

and we can immagine other possibilities ... ;)

I think that could be very interesting in a management game like EVE especially for ambulation

sounds like it would be an interesting feature to me, however I think it would have to have a skill tree associated with it you know? or it would have to be something like implants that you can purchase like mercenary help in the form of officers for your ship.

but then it could be argued that implants already serve this function

I was thinking that it could be interesting in mission, so the famous 10 militant could be usefull !!! it could increase your damage by example .
and why not imagine exotic dancers give you some bonus ahah

I'm totaly agree with new skill that could appear with that

a new section of skill called "ship commander" or "ship manager" something like that!

GREAT idea imo. Hope a GM reads this.

Whether it be through a new part of the skill tree, or 5 more slots in implants this would be an amazing way to finally put to use all those extra people you have laying around.

If the GM's really thought this was a good idea, even add a personnel cargo hold. Make it proportional to the ship. Frigates maybe put like 10 militants in their hold while BS's could have like 100...

Make the bonus' larger depending on how rare the person is. Militants could be damage or tracking. Chimeras (sp?) a larger damage or tracking. Janitors, more rep per cycle. Prostitutes could be more agility.

Seriously though, hope CCP reads this one, brilliant idea!Shocked

I'd like to say, that could be a good way for balancing between different race too!
make a lot and a lot of differents possibilities to fit a same ship, increase possibility in fleet !

hmmm I see!

I was thinking of managing a higher number of people in your ship, and don't include a slot for that but a large bay like drone bay !
