Lo, each time i cancel an offered crappy mission from an agent (empire faction kill/courier) and then get another crappy mission (empire faction kill/courier) and find myself having to wait 4 hours to get on with playing (im lazy i dont want other agents - besides they can do the same hehe).

There was an idea of making a mission store (dev blog i think) - something like the change that had been made to the LP system.

I believe it has not been implemented because players would grind only the good missions. And its okay but still leaves a crappy system in the game.

My idea is to do something in between - after asking an agent for a mission a window pops up with 3-5 missions to choose from. Each time options change (after completing one of the missions) and randomly pick a new set from all the mission database.

I think that would be quite fair and relieve us of getting mad sometimes :P

UPDATE:
Something like that...
Hmmmmm?

I like this, at the very least should be able to choose from a couple of difficulty levels. Never fails, when I want epic-level shootery for a gang mission I get a 5 minute mission, when Im short on time and want something quick I get extravaganza.

I agree here, the option for quick or long mission needs to be added

To avoid 'players do only good missions' part the number of times mission is accepted from 'mission store' might be included in auto balancer reward calculations - so missions that get farmed hard will get dumped lower in their reward levels.

That balancer could use some tweaking anyway afterall, as currently it counts only sucsessful missions (ignoring failed missions, player ship losses, declined missions, etc).

weeeee, I like that one.

the more mission A is done (all over eve) the less it's getting worth.
Just like the market

Problem with that line of thinking is the bounties are the main focus of a mission, not the reward. A lvl 4 extravaganza, for example, is around 2 million mission reward and 10-20mil from bounties/loot/salvage. And of course tweaking the bounties is a slippery slope both because of technical reasons and because people tend to rate difficulty of a given NPC based on its bounty (e.g. a 500k BS is generally easier than a 600k BS, even if they're in different missions).

this would work great, but only if there were 5 of 6 times the current number of missions, because, as it stands, the same missions would come up again and again and again, and this would be farmed to oblivion.

For me LP is approx 50% of my isk/h. Altho you are ofc right, that if I could get say ... Gone Berzek over and over again regardless of getting only few LP each time it might introduce ... other problems ... in EVE. Like you know, getting approx 2000 m3 of loot every 10 min for doing that mission (and approx 8 - 10 mil in bounties). Running multiple accounts ofc.
