Please don't evemail me on in-eve stuff as it will probably not get responded to in any timely fashion as I get evemails on lots of stuff and only have limited time in game ATM Things I can do :- 1) Delete accounts 2) Delete the portraits [so they get refreshed next update - otherwise they stay as they are] 3) Clean the account - basically del the skills so they get refreshed next update 4) password recovery - this is not working for me ATM - so Things I will do :- 1) if a character has obviously fake stats | skills etc - bang it goes - if you spot one post a clickable link - [that way I can do it easily when I'm out and about without too much searching on dodgy connections] 2) If you want your account deleted then post a clickable link from the character that you want deleting to the in-eve character - this means you have control of that character 2a) IF you do not post a clickable link I'll probably just ignore the request - as I do this mostly when travelling via train on a dodgy connection - I'll also probably block and ignore ingame requests [my mail box gets filled with lots of other stuff and we all know how useful it is to use  3) if you want the photo updated then do the same as 2) but say you want the photo to update Things I will not do 1) I will not delete an api verified character - so if you want your account deleted and it is api verified you will have to change your API code 1st so it removed the tag 2) I will not delete a character that is linked from another account [i.e. you post from one character asking for another character to go] |

I don't seem to be able to register through the IGB... I enter all the information, click 'Ok' and the page resets with no error or message.

I guess this is due my learning skils being bugged, it gives the impression that they are "obviously fake", but trust me when i say they are not! Any way we can get a round them being deleted? Thank you for your efforts in keeping the Showroom alive. Your efforts and, of course, Sara's efforts are greatly appreciated by the thousands who participate and hundreds of thousands who enjoy viewing the site.
Perhaps now would be a good time to revisit the suggestion that the site be restricted to API-verified characters. I'm not a code junkie - my programming experience dates back to the days of writing simple Fortran routines on decks of punch cards - but intuitively it would seem that such a change would be relatively easy to implement. Granted, such a change would crush the current "participation" from 111,000 to 7,000 characters. However, the remaining 7,000 characters would be valid, current and much easier to maintain. Given that use of the API is safe and easy to do, I also believe that non-API characters would validate in order to regain their positions in the Showroom, and new characters would join in order to secure relatively high-ranking positions.

Thank you for keeping the site alive in Sara's absence. I know its gotta be a pain in the butt, and its probably pretty thankless, but like Dr. C said, alot of people do appreciate it. With that out of the way, sorry to add to the workload but would you mind deleting me?

As much as i'd like to see InEves development continue, its not that simple. Since Sara no longer has the time to maintain InEve, New deve;opers would be required. They would need full access to the site inc all administrater passwords / privalages ect, which is why Rattus can only perform limited maintainance. Their are also a number of issues that need fixing, like password recovery, being able to delete your own characters ect. Anyways Thanks to Rattus and Sara for Maintaining InEve as best they can  |

no links no stuff to do ...  if they are updated and still say they are members of the corp then it may be a code thing - or I could try clearing the info and seeing if they come back. |

yes I'll mention it to sara [actually already have] and see if we can make the top 10's api only... [if nothing else] I also think that it should be possible that if you have the api info you should be able to update the account. [this obviously needs work but It's what I'd like to see] |

Confirmed this does not work. Please do confirm the IP the API pull is from for the ineve server. I've looked over my personal log and by process of elimination believe this is the ineve server. Please confirm or I will need to reset my API as all others are verified. 89.31.231.x |

I can confirm that the same IP is pulling my API info, I have EVEMon set to update my In-Eve profiles, and I haven't handed my API out to anyone else. |

I cannot recreate this account via EVE API method on WWW. When I try to use any email address, it tells me the account still exists.

Sadly password recovery does not appear to be working for me. {/shrugs} So please feel free to delete Shar Tegral. I'll re-register again. Re: API Only Api verification stops if a person cancels sub. Even if that happens for one day. I know personally. So, I can see where having leader board participation exclusive to Api verification as a valid practice. However to disenfranchise people through an automated process simply because of a day or two of payment arrangement or taking a month or so off eve??? |
