I think thats bad mechanics there.

The materials are low and 0.0 sec only but trying to force more players out into 0.0 is sorta silly using this they rather throw up a pos in said system and use its facilities instead.

I must say...

1) This actually looks like a very cool idea overall. New ships, new exploration stuff... new (done properly) is good.

2) The illustrations are awesome. I especially like the Data Mining example. Very expressive. However...

- The Wanderer looks a bit too much like a pistol. Perhaps the "grip" portion on the bottom could be left off? Or shortened at the least so any Archaeologists don't have to suffer hearing "pew pew" in Local whenever they're seen.

all tech 1 ships are getting shaved down and redone again, im still recovinging from a little incident i have but soon as i get better Ill be trying to make updates to this.

Currently T2 BPC research can not be done at any facilities; Station or POS.
It could still be bad mechanics though...

I love the idea of Ships desinged for exploration and I really hope that CCP takes this Idea into consideration. Personally I would scratch the whole "walking in stations" thing in favour for this one here. Let us have a littel more fun IN our ships rather that outside of them. We need new ships anyway CCP, if you'Re going to realise what you've promised uuh... 3 years ago - This colonisation/planet/terraforming thingy, you remember? ;-)

first off, its a well thought-out and proposed idea. second, amarr subfaction ships with more shield resists/buffer than armor doesnt flow well with the rest of the race. why not make it minmatar subfaction if your so into the whole shields thing?

I am going to be swapping bonuses around the next few days, for the tech 2 ships, moving the power drain into the ship per level bonus.

Will be adding scientific gang links soon.

Still really considering how to go about designing the capitol ships. They're to cliche or not cliche enough to warrant thier presence.

This should do more than go to assembly hall when it's ready.

We need to get all explorers, archeologists, and scientists together and hold an in-game event on the day this goes to the Hall.

What an how, I don't know. But this thread, and topic, should not be allowed to scroll out of existence, and hence into obscurity. It it cannot be pushed aside by the usual bickering about not enough pew pew versus too much on day one, then this will grow an bigger pair of legs.

This kind of work shall not be ignored.

Thanks for pointing that out so many details some of them got overlooked.

Going to use my domi for a getting a ballpark figure have a functional fit roll some dice and go from there.

UPDATE LOG 17/7/116
-Updated the Traveler's Critical Stats based on new measurements


Basically I did everything that was a generic stat (cruiser this cruiser that) and gave it real numbers this time around so people can yell at me for that as well.

Simulated fit was the following

Highs
1 Miner Tech 2 (Data Streaming Analayzer fit)
1 Core Probe Launcher

Medium
1 Small Emp Smartbomb (Simulated as a the Midslot Beacon)
1 Medium Shield Booster T1
1 Invulnerbility Field T1

Lows
1 Damage Control Unit T1

Total fit use
232 CPU
27 Grid

Reason why I used tech 1 modules is because of thier reduced cpu and grid usage vs thier tech 2 cousins, thus this should hopefully account for player skills being more efficent over time allowing players to fit more and more tech 2 as they gain in skill and fitting efficenticy, I bumped the numbers up sligtly to allow play room.

I also gave all the exploration ships a slow warp speed as to not compete with covert ops on scouting and hunting people down and because its a non stealth ship its rather agile and featherweight to allow faster getaways.

minor update to what is going on,

as you some of you know i have been electrocuted recently and well still havent fully recorvered until recently.

I feel good enough now to want to do art so expect more updates in the next few days, the new traveler is awsome looking it will get a full color soon enough.

I really like the idea of personal labs.

Highsec research stations are always crowded, and lowsec ones are really risky for new players.
An hobbyist researcher trying to improve and research a T1 ammo BPO will have to face too much risk with a very low reward.

Personal Labs might solve this.
The overall Field Scientist idea is cool. Props to you Nova Fox.

I would love to see these ideas/ships brought into the world of EVE. The unpredictability of what you'll find as an explorer is what's kept me with EVE so far, and these kinds of improvements will make it just as fun for years to come.

Once took 220V through the chest on a construction site so I know how that sucks. Sprained both wrists too.
