Have you looked at how they are, in terms of mass/agility?
A high warp speed is very nice if you are doing any kind of long distance traveling.

think about it. its a research ship so it will need alot of power for the various scientific equipment.
so even the frigat class should have a rather big signature radius.

on the other hand, its powercore would be shielded, from pretty much every kind of interferince. making it near impossible to warp scramble.
just like its sensors would be top of the line, ECM would be useless since its computer would analyse the signal in a instant and then adapt the sensors.

i would love this ship, even better if it gets a cloak bonus to

Signature Radius was stated to be noisy for a cruiser class but the tech 2s employed stealthing technologies to reduce thier detectability Ill need to double check to see if i made it consistent though.

I doubt this ship will see much combat or the need to lock onto something so higher ECM sensors would be null or not really needed so it may not matter much how strong are the ships sensors, signature resolution could also be tonned down.

I have thought about warp scrambler immunity but or interdictor immunity not sure which one to coin flip. Interdictor immunity will require agility loss to allow regular interception methoods however.

Defensivly the sisters are FAR faster than any ORE ship that ever existed, fast to turn fast to accelerate fast to warp out when it looks hairy, they however suffer having massive sigrad unlike the ORE ships which can usually get by with average sigrad.

Also I opted the cloaking bonuses off the ship because they're a civillian organization, I may boost cpu to allow a standard cloak and some wiggle room and consider a recalibration delay reduction so they can decloak fast and do what they need.

Having a bonus to jump range via that skill is quite unreasonable, train JDC 5 if you really want that extra bit of range.

I really don't care if it's in the description, a SoE ship should actually have a significantly smaller jump range (3.0 before JDC is reasonable)

Also, give it the ability to fit a jump portal generator that would ONLY bridge SoE ships (Maybe a Sisters' Jump Portal Generator). It should be able to bridge to cyno generator arrays, but not covert cynos. This would be an excuse to require Astrometrics 5 to fly the ship, as Astrometrics 5 is required for Jump Portal Generation.

Just IMO.

But seriously, should not have a long or even moderate jump range.

Thanks for your feedback I havent had a chance to review the capitol ship roles since apothryica but your viewpoints as a capitol pilot was very helpful in the jump range concerns Ill address them when i get back to doing my next round of tweaks.

I have to design the Titania and give a good role and reroll the Oberon as well.

Then of course redo the stats and get more accurate stats out eventually to be near eve like after field testing with similar ships.
Finish the inventory and new skills
Finish the artwork.
Start hammering down specific values for scientific field work.

Any bonus to scan speed needs to be removed or changed to be something relevant.

10sec scan time is not worth reducing with bonuses.

Slowly being phased out since apothryca hit moving the hidden bonus to actual bonus and setting it up for the 5 levels of ship command. Im still redoing tech 2 bonuses though and trying to consider each one.

UPDATE LOG 19/4/116
- Renamed the Wisp to the Siren
- Renamed the Dryad to the Muse
- Changed the bonuses of the Siren and Muse to reflect a post apothycan age, the muse is now the uhauler for the sisters sporting the largest cargohold of the sub capitols, while the Siren is now the ultimate data recovery ship with increased yeild and further reduction in power drain on the target.
- Added Mass to most ships, they're far lighter than most other ships thier size this has a smaller impact when entering wormholes.
- Added the Titania post, still adding stats and roles.
- Removed the Gallery post.

Okay I was wondering if I could get a discussion going, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to be able to 'harvest' wormhole space effects for later use elsewhere like a tech 2 fleet command module, turn this on and get all the benifits of said wormhole effect? This may be what the titiania need in order to get a role and make wormhole space more interesting.


I also need to go back and take into the account of there bing tech 3 around.

Also need to redo cpu grid values due to recent changes so expect another slate of updates for that.

and finally the last of the picture should make it up here soon.

You could have harvestable items from w-space as item hand-ins for t2 items from the soe LP shop, similar to dog tags.

- Updated Creating Need post to further reflect the changes in eve, and defined clarity and spelling grammatical errors.
- Updated Personal Labs post to further reflect the changes in eve, increased the number of balancing options avilable to the labs and removed other balancing ideas that would have negative impact to great.
Im planning on placing tech 3 research in personal labs on the threshold chart between tech 2 and tech 1 due to the difficulty factor in getting the materials required and rareity where tech 1 and tech 2 materials are far more common.

Also Ill look into reverse engineering some more and possibly provide a solution for tech 3 woes (the in ability to select your product) and allowing labs to churn out more desirable results.

I like this thread.

Nova, has CCP weighed in on this? This is probably the ONLY thread I have seen in these forums where everybody is being civil and having only minor debates on features, and that is a way of seeing that your ideas could be welcome by both pirate and carebear alike.


Keep up the good work. If there is a petition to get onto to at least get CCP to consider it over some beer I would sign it.

my main concern and two bits:

Exploration/Arch can be a great solo activity. I hope that if CCP provides ships that are specific to these tasks, they don't make them so helpless that they would require an escort, like an industrial. I already take existing ships and fit them for exploration and find they really stink for both PVE and PVP, and something that requires being in a fleet just to move around kills the entire reason of exploration in dangerous places.

I can predict that in lowsec, killmail-addicted gankers notwithstanding, a science/exploration ship that can use a covops cloak will not be as despised as a real covops that can be used for generating fields (very dangerous to a defending fleet), especially if the existing occupants know that the ship is not going to do much damage alone. There will always be enough scouts in real covops. But having to use a covops just to be left alone is a waste of resources and risk of harm that would otherwise not come to a ship intended for more peaceful means.

So please, CCP, if you ever introduce such vessels that give just as much to explorers, archeologists, and scientists as there are ships that give so much to pirates, gankers, miners, and industrialists, do not make those ships to be wet paper bags that could not so much as run from a tackling Velator with meta 0 mods. I made the ships agile and lightweight and they're about 10% tougher than any ore ship known so survivability is alot higher, there wont be much to stop players from fitting a cloak overall just for the sake of hiding. As for travelling there wont be much to save it from bubbles though, I could remedy it or not but I have to rereview the stats, right now im going though artist's fustration which imo is worse than an artist block, so i may have time to go over these ships again.

I would like to see the most advanced research usages - eg T2 BPC research - be limited to low & zero sec.
