I am fairly new to using BPOs, I use the labs in stations since I lack POS so if there a way or skill(s) that I can use to speed up research in cost for BPOs in station? I was also toying with the idea of setting up a small POS in low sec space just to deal with BPO work. The plan was a small tower and a mobile lab, any ideas on what else I should add to it and what type of defense I should give it? |

Like Metallurgy, the skill "Research" will reduce PE research time by 5% per level, and the skill "Science" will reduce copy time by 5% per level.
What type of defense you put on a POS depends on what type of tower it is. Caldari is typically the best for doing research with labs, but if you only plan on putting 1 lab out, then any of the other types should be just fine.
If possible fit some shield hardeners to get some of your resistances off of 0%. A small tower can't fit a whole lot of defenses in general so they are fairly susceptible to being attacked. Make sure you put in the strontium clathrates for reinforced. Make a defense plan in case you are attacked. You may not be able to get to it before it's in reinforced unless you are on all the time so you'll need people to help defend your POS if this happens. |
