It makes no difference if you press enter or click it with the mouse.
It just accidentally timed out once, and was fine the other time.

The index was just slow, I can try and increase the timeout value to 15 seconds on the search.

I have no issues though, still works.

Its working again for me

Earlier I tried searching for The Ride Of The Valkyries and everything went fine

When I made my earlier post I was searching for something else and got the "Timeout" error

so I searched for The Ride Of The Valkyries to see if it was just the second search that was having the problem and it once again Timed out

but as I said, it is working fine again

I will make a new build, that will have enhanced initial index search speed...

However, I have to reverse-engineer a couple of things, so it will take some time.

New build...

* Initial search should be faster now
* Couple of miniature adjustments

Virustotal will be updated, link in OP.

P.S.
Wireshark ftw.

Works like a charm, would be nice if there was a 'stop' function so you could stop it mid search.

Very good

Will think about how to implement that.

Since I'll be pretty busy the coming week (yay marriage!), I will probably not update this thing for a while.
Feel free to give feedback though.

Current ideas that I have for implementing:
* Make "Extend Search" button change to "Stop Search" while searching and "Resume Search" after stopped, which pauses fetching bitrates and allows to download immediately.
* Make downloads stoppable
* Make downloads change the progress bar to "Finished" or "Failed" / "Canceled" accordingly.
* Do bitrate fetching in separate threads, say 4 requests per thread, instead of being sequential (speed increase).

I will consider all other practical ideas.

Surely, it is a time bomb then!

Nah...
1) I don't have that many alts
2) So many antiviruses probably are not wrong.
3) I have nothing to gain from getting banned for life off these forums.

Hmm

Keep getting the timeout error, but it was working fine earlier.

Maybe it just doesn't like the kind of music I listen to Sad

I think your connection sucks.
I have no problems in 3 locations and on public WiFi.
If a simple 10kb HTTP request takes more than 10 seconds on your connection, then you either need to switch ISP or stop downloading lots of ****.

P.S.
If it doesn't find any results, you get a "No results" error, not a timeout error. So your music taste has nothing to do with it.

I'm running off of a 3G mobile modem until next week, so that could be my problem.

Thanks for the reply though :)

Even on a 3G connection your latency shouldn't be that awful, unless it's totally overloaded.

Or perhaps you need to use a proxy, the configuration for which my program currently omits.
You can use sockscap or freecap if you want to run it through a proxy.

If i'm lucky, I get 150kbp/s.

So it is more tha likely my connection.

It runs EvE fine, but when it comes to the internet... meh

Will be getting a real connection next week, as I said.

Nice little program though. Keep up the good work Smile

If it's enough to play EvE, then I don't see why it times out.

I am pretty sure there is a proxy there somewhere.

Ok.

The good:
1) Fixed search, it stopped working.
2) Sped up search by about 5-6x, program is multithreaded now
3) Reduced distribution size to 1.7mb

The bad:
1) Due to running 7 threads at a time, memory usage is now about 20mb
2) There is a memory leak of 4-20kb every time a new search is made, haven't found where it is yet.
3) Someone virustotal it and post the link.

Download via link in OP.

Regarding ideas:

Originally by: Ryysa

Probably not needed anymore.
Quote:
* Make downloads stoppable

Not sure if this is needed either.
Quote:

On TODO list.
Quote:

Done.

Some feedback would be appreciated btw.
