Ok this will be what I have to say clearly again. I have spoken with people in the game, and I have heard numerous others ask would it not just be a logical conclusion to make a secure container that could fit in a friehgter about 12000 M3, and be secure. I am asking people without being rude to explain why haveing such a container would be so bad. Yes I realise this is a MMO game, people may wish to act in groups this is fine others may wish to take a solo route to, that is there choice, but the topic is really the container could you explain your views in favor of it or against it and why but please stick to that issue if possible , I really like this game as with any game people wont always agree, but that is why I like it to.

Ok, trying another approach Smile.

1: Yes, a 12k m3 secure can would be good for you. But developers has to consider every valid occupation in EvE, and that can would exclude ore thiefing.

2: It should always be better to be more. Making it just as easy and comfortable to solo mine as it is mining in a pair is not good for the MM part of MMO.

You have to think of EvE as a whole and not just what you want.

While I agree that a 12000 m3 secure container would definatley benefit a solo miner, I also feel that I would have a severe impact on mineral/ore prices. As a realative noobie, I need to mine often to get the ISK to get ships/fittings that allow me to do missions. While a Hurricane is a Faction Warfare throw away for a lot of players, I lost one to pirates about a month ago doing a mission and haven't yet had the ISK needed to replace it (of course I spend a lot too on other crap). My best suggestion would be for you to start YOUR OWN corp and find a FEW like minded players. They are out there and use them for support.

First of all: WHile mining isn't as profitable as mission running in high sec, which could and probably should be change, it isn't a reason to stop giving rewards for cooperation, and with mining teamwork is present when someone can haul your ore for you.

If you mine alone in high sec space, where a station is nearby the advantages of mining into containers isn't big IF you do it alone and you have to spend your time hauling anyway.

You save part of the hauling time, and delay the rest a bit, but it isn't that big in efficiency.

Why mining to containers is important? Because your corp hangar can be a few jumps away from the belt discovered by your friends who favor exploration, and when there are a few miners and a few guardians, a few haulers out on a mining op, it becomes different.

If you do it in low sec, and guarding the mining site and your convoys take effort, etc. saving a few trips, ability to mine constantly, spending less time in low sec for same amount of ore means a huge difference.

A 0.0 mining op, with a sizeable fleet working on it, where people has to compress what you mined, and the nearest outpost is a few jumps away... Now that is also a different story.

A large can would solve your immediate problem, but...

If you're not totally bored with mining in a few weeks you may find yourself in a player corp where you wont have this problem, or maybe you may have decided to move to a quieter system. The new patch seems like its going to make it extremely difficult to high sec gank someone, so a can like what you're suggesting would eliminate any way of causing any conflict.

Without conflict this game would be even more boring than it already is. Yeah, one corp can go out and war dec a given corp, but its a wast of time to war dec a corp that you want to attack because they will only run and hide or move to an NPC corp or change to a holding corp. You need to aggro a corp into war dec'ing you if you want to have any real fun.

Here is the trump to anyone that says, "get an alt to haul! Or get a friend!"

I can mission solo in my CNR...

But to answer the question of the OP.

My Hulk holds 17,199m3 or 10k m3 with two MLU II's

Whats the problem?

OH yeah! All the T1 barges cargohold suck. I think all the industrials, Tranports and Barges and Exhumers need a 50% buff to cargo IMO. Because until you get to a Hulk with two 50 million ISK Cargo rigs, the cargo holds are sub-par for this game.

Thank you all I see points but yes I think the main fault is that Mining barges especialy T1's have real gargo issues that need to be adressed, maybe a way to conpensate things would be to have to have a commercial Liscense to own larger secure containers. The mining problems really did not start for me until I got a mining barge. I would like to join a corp thing it the last 2 I was in litterally ripped people off. Being in a corp does not gaurantee that ther will be people available to do mining ops when you might have the time available. Not to mention alliances dont really seem to care either and when repeated calls for assistance or protection are ignored , you can see why people may not like being parts of larger entities in the game. Secure containers of 12000M3 in high sec space would not really make a diference, as Concorde response times were just even made Shorter. But would allow people with low level Mining barges to make up for the amounts of ore they produced. Now similar Containers in Highsec space might force pirates to actually have to work for there supper by learning there hacking skills to empty them or linger in areas to promote even more combat situations. Just some other points

Macro miners and afk miners are the reason you won't get what you want. People that sit with 12 different accounts running at the same time, all in barges or exhumers, stripping belts and ice fields to make lots of cash with no effort. They hide in npc corps.

"Dual boxing", macro runners, and alt accounts make the game hard to balance, so you get what we have.
