what happened to the extra pics of the ships that were posted about in the news upon login?

I was expecting at LEAST all 4 sides and the top, or better yet, some sort of 3d viewing app to rotate around a pic of the ships.

I'm lined up to buy, but won't till I see the actual ships in a LOT higher detail.

CCP. PLEASE don't use images that are 700x700. we want DETAIL. Warn folks it's a large image, and put up 4k x 4k pics. Please..

arent you a needy piece of ****...theres plenty of high detail images in the store, if you even bothered to check

Actually, if you read my post above that you quoted I DID see the pics on the web site, and they are NOT high res. They are 700x700 pixels. And they only have one angle shot of each ship.

Asking for 5 images in a HIGH resolution is NOT too much to ask for an item I am buying. Normally I'd just search the net and find some. For any other retail item, there would be hundreds, if not thousands of pics. But seeing as this is a brand new item that is hitting a very niche segment of members who play a very niche game, it's not too much to ask.

I mean really. All they have to do, is grab a drop cloth( a white sheet), put it on a pedestal of some sort(a large fileing cabinet works) and use another drop cloth held up by someone else to take some shots of it with a decent high res camera(Something 6 megapixels or higher would work fine, and are easy to find). Post those in the "more Images" part for each ship that's in the EVE Store that has other photo's of each item. I mean hell. It says "More Images".. Plural..

I mean, they're just pictures. They're easy to get, and easy to upload. You can't even see the Raven/CNR well from the angle they show it. It's probobly take 30 mins, and it'd be done.

I don't think it was asking for much. Personally, when buying something that is a "sculpture/art" I'd rather be able to see it in greater detail. Hell, I was even polite and said Please at the end of my post. This is something I've been waiting for for a long time. But the Devil is in the Details.

Just ordered my set, went with the t1. Really liked the navy raven and apoc.. even if the apoc is darker it looks really cool. But being Ive flown the t1 versions more, they bring back memories .. and I couldnt get past the sails on the fleet tempest :/ Now I just have to wait, wife is still going to wrap them up for anniversary/xmas. If these are as nice as they look I cant wait for other ships to follow :)

I think that EVE should have a cheaper variant of battleship that you can build alone with glue and to paint alone model ?

Damnit, the Navy Mega is sweet. Although I won't be getting the full set, just my lovely Mega.

great idea, for models are fun to have. but for the size that they are and detail amount and such, for that price its not worth it to me.i would pay say, 40 USD or 60 USD for it, somewhere in there, but not 130 USD. thats just a rip off.

same goes for the empyrean age book. i wont in my right mind pay for a novel 24 USD. not in my right mind.
a good novel of any kind only gose for anything less then 10 USD.

anyway, thats my rant.

the only cool thing i may pay for on the eve store, may be the keychain, as thats just nice.

50-58 usd for shipping to sweden/denmark?..

Guess i'm not getting one then, becuase paying basically half the ship price in shipping feels a ripoff. I could have lived with the ship model cost itself, but then another "half ship" in shipping? That just turned into a matter of principal :(

Seeing these models sitting on their own stands is one thing but there is no indication of scale nor any dimensions to tell you how big they are in the original pics before the store went live with them.

CCP, put something we know the size of (someone's hand or something) in the foreground of the pic so it shows the scale of these. Giving the size in CM is not really telling us how big they are, Imagination doesn't work that well.

LOL, I'd have laughed myself silly if people paid megabucks and found they were only 2 inches in length.LaughingLaughingLaughing

Edit: Having said that, I will wait and see if they go down in price, they are way too expensive for me, I'm not that much of a fanatic about Eve.

Saw that and edited. The dimensions are not apparent until you look at the actual item in the store but the pics don't give any idea of scale.

You are luck! 119$ for shipping to Brazil (South America).. That is a real ripoff Mad

So now I have to explain to my wife that I will pay for 2 but only get 1.. Probably she will kill me..

But serious, I will wait for more others ship be available to buy many in one package shipping. So, to CCP: "Release more caldari ships or lower the shipping cost!!"

That's all.

edited: spelling.

Ouch, you win that one ;)

The only thing that could actually force my fragile little mind to pay that much would be a Harpy/Merlin..

I spoke with CCP about it at pax, they said somethign about it being a limited run of 150 faction ship sets and 250 of each battleship. I think that was the number I heard anyway.

Bought a Megathron yesterday morning.

Hmm, could it be the Marauders (i.e. the T2 variants) and not the faction ships ?

Are the paint jobs correct for marauder class ships ?

No, they're not correct for Mauraders either. One person suggested that they're supposed to be the ships the NPC faction rats use. If that's the case it's still a mistake since their advertisement suggested that we can fly them in the game.

That makes them a specialty collectable mis-print.

No, it still looks like the paintjob on the 'navy' mega doesn't correspond to any ingame version, T1, T2 or NPC or NPC pirate faction.

I'm still holding out for unpainted versions so I can get the black/steel look of the navy mega myself if I have to. The so-calle Minmatar Navy Tempest (doesn't even sound right does it) doesn't have the correct wingy bits, and basicly confirms the navy set is just the same set painted differently.

If the fix this (I hope so) thenI guess these early mistakes will become even more collectable - for people who just want to profit. They are no good if you are looking for your own fave navy BS.

Why didn't they start this enterprise with $20-$50 range priced frigates and cruisers????? $10 drones would be nice too. I guess they figure that the $50+ on FedEx shipping puts a damper on that. :(

Really poor show on the shipping of these been a week since ordered and are shown as pending shipping for all that time, been told order has been sent to warehouse for shipping . but no apparent explanation as to the hold up.

Same here, ordered a Megathron on August 31st, sent a mail to [email protected] on September 4th, got a reply saying it would ship either on that day or the day after...still "Shipment pending" and we're now Sept 7th.

I want my 'thron.

As with everything else in the store it is the delivery charges that I have a major issue with, $47.00 to the UK, simply too much.

The economy delivery option is still $42.00....!!!
If you want a real laugh have a look at the cost of shipping a keyring to the UK, something that would fit into an envelope ffs..

Unless your A) waiting for it to come out in paper back, or B) counting comic books as novels, your trolling. When was the last time you were in a Walden Books? Most Novels upon release are hardbound, and run the price range from 25-40 bucks.
