Just once.

I quit. I went back to WoW and did the raidraidraid thing some more.

But after Eve WoW felt like an MMO on rails - so I came back. I'm still annoyed that I should be at 15M SP with my main but I'm just now getting to 12 'cause of the time I was away.

Twice. The first time I left, RL had taken priority. About a year later I resubbed, trained BC 5, then logged out for eight months. Embarassed

Three times. The first time was the longest since I got back into Asheron's Call 1 real hard and just couldn't seem to stop playing it no matter how hard I tried.

The other two times were just for a couple months each and due to RL issues.

I left for almost a year once. I take short breaks occasionally, but nothing significant.

I took about a 4 month hiatus from playing after my previous two alliances either suffered from internal issues or decided to go in a direction that I didn't want to. I'm still not back full-steam but hopefully will be soon.

It was a nice period of time to train up Capital Ship skills....

Never ever ever.. did have a break of 1 month when cash was a bit tight, but trained Gallente BS 5 during the break, so nothing lost there.

At least 4 or 5 times. I first started in 2003 I think. Everytime I came back I would start a new character. <---- IDIOT

My current character was started aug 2006.

I havent quit once yet in nearly 4 years.

However, I am closely watching for the outcome of changes to wardecs. The single thing keeping me paying my subs is the non-consensual pvp uniqueness. If that dies, EVE loses its uniqueness, and I would probably use all my stuff up and quit.

Twice, once right after beta. Then again several years later.

Twice. Once, way back in the day, which I would have reactivated the account had I remembered it. And about a year ago, for a few months.

Um, none. My playtime always drops signficantly when my ISK gets tight though. Eventually I'll pull things back out... but PVE in Eve really really sucks.

eve is a drug and no matter how many times you quit you will always come back. i made a trail back in 2005 and couldn't get my hands on a gtc so i went back to guild wars and FFXI then came back here after i got bored with ffxi.

Once ... so far ;-)

I quit 8 months ago partly because I objected to Trinity - too many drone nerfs, no marauder for drone users, and too much time spent on new graphics engine, which not everyone can use, when there are many, many bugs affecting everyone that could have been fixed instead - and party for RL reasons.

If I get the impression that the impression that too much developer time is being spent on, in my opinion, completely useless stuff like walking around stations, instead of bug-fixing, I may leave again.

I quit once in August 2006, came back around december 06, quit again... came back again and have been back ever since.

Its worth noting, I played WoW for 1 week, hated it.

Played anarchy online (got bored) knights online (got bored) and countless other insignificant ones. A lot of korean mmo's in there.

Bottom line: EvE is the best. At least until Star Trek Online comes out, at which point it will be an interesting small amount of competition. ugh

Twice, once for 6 month, once for 4 months. About one third of my characters life.

Edit - those are the times I didnt train, I have taken shorter breaks but still trained.
