Looking to make the jump into EW. Was wondering what the most effective set up is for shutting down any type of ship from frigate on up.

Then once that ship is shut down. How easy is it for a BB by itself to take said ship out?

Skills and money are not really an issue.

Any help would be welcome

The blackbird is really a support ship, not a ship killer. For EW you'll want to be looking at either Racial Jammers if you have a specific target in mind, or Sensor Dampeners if you don't. You'll also want at least one War Scrambler if you want to prevent them from warping out.

When used in conjunction with another ship, the Blackbird is lethal. On it's own, it can slow down an oponent long enough for reinforcements to arrive. Just don't try this and fire on a Gallente ship like the Vexor or Throax or their drones will rip you to peices.
