I have been trying to make apoint recently but only now have i realized what i need to make it work

there used to be ruins and stations and ll sorts of nice things to find purely for the joy of deepening the game experience, take the Dead-end monolith for example , most peole dont know its there , and the only way you can find it is to look for it , but at least that used to show on the directinal scanner.

if the ruins and even the EvE gat itself is still in new eden then given that large collideables dont show on a directinal scanner , its not possable to ever find them , perhaps a new kind of scan probe that requiers soem sciense skills to use that would only be any good for fuinding the "storyline entitys " that have been spred around the game.

it might require the storyline stuff to have a new entity class but all in all i think it would be a realy nice addition the the game serving to deepening the experience and offer those that wished it the chance to look further into the back story.

I am all for seeing new "stuff" in Eve.

I've suggested many times before, that we need more space things, and more storyline things.

I read the story about the Eve Gate, and went there for myself. Sadly, my ship wasn't destroyed when I tried to get close. As has been stated before, its just a background image. And I've heard if you try and cruise the ultimate Nano Inty out there to get closer... they spawn a gigantic Drone complex on top of you. But other than that, its just a wallpaper.

I've seen tons of ideas, and had a few myself, for adding more of the space elements to our otherwise lacking "space" game. I wouldn't even mind flying into a Black Hole and waking up in a new clone... just because I could say I still did it. Very Happy

The issue being is that CCP seems to be unable to add new item types and such effectively. Since Large Collidable structures are generally in missions, it would give a huge boost to locating deadspace missions (which is already pretty easy) and as such be used as a tool against other players.

Not that such is by default a bad thing, but enough tools for that purpose already exist without enough counters to add yet another method to the mix.

I think the first problem to overcome... is definition.

"Large Collidable" refers to space debris that manifests during a mission. It's useless fluff to make a mission concerning "go there and kill people" look a bit more like spaceships and futuristic-ness.

I think if any actual content were added, such as an Eve Gate wormhole, or ancient ruins for Exploration... they would have to be something other than a generic "Large Collidable" in the database.

So it would still be difficult for someone in a CovOps who's looking for artifacts and relics to accidently fall upon a mission runner. And it would prevent a Pirate intent on finding wrecks to salvage, from falling upon an explorer digging through an archaeology site.

I wouldn't say, that extra hidden content like this, should be readily visible on the onboard scanner. Ruins and the like are out of the way and "undiscovered" or else they wouldn't be worth anything anymore.

Eve Gate and such, which are historical sites of significance... could be visible. Perhaps not advertised like DED Complexes, Stations, and such are... but they could be found and viewed without devoting training to Exploration.

Believe me... CCP knows we want more stuff. There's more than just This One Thread that has raised the idea.

I've gone so far as to post the same questions in the CSM forums as well.

Here... you'll probably never see a Dev response.

There... they say "CCP is aware of the issue, and it will be addressed ~soon~."

Both answers mean it'll happen if/when it happens.
