Well, I was thinking to myself the other day, man, I really wish EVE had more accessible pvp.. I'd really like to get back into it, but as a -10 pirate, it was really difficult to find players to kill outside of gate camping nubs.

I go to check my email, and lo and behold, I have an eve-online newsletter that basically says "If the pvp wasnt accessible enough for you before, re-subscribe now because its been fixed!"

Sooo... here I am.
I was wondering, what is the real deal about this empire space thing? Is CONCORD gone now, and all I have to worry about is little militia navys flying around? I don't fully understand the "factional warfare" concept, either. Could someone clear it up for me, please?

Concord is still there. Just that you can kill any of the two opposing militias members if you see them with out concord responding.

Join one of 4 militias and you are part of faction warfare. If you join caldari, gallente is your enemy. Gallente players are then enemy wartargets that you can shoot anywhere in low sec, and also in high sec if you avoid the navy that protects them. Concord doesnt get involved.

Its fun and has made people comfortable with going into low sec and fighting. There is blob warfare but also small groups fighting eachother.

You need +0.5 standing with the side you want to join, and money to buy ships and gear. There are no rewards except some points for killing ships and taking plexes, and ranks that give you medals.

If you like killing lonely miners in low sec, they are probably just as rare today as before.

But the Player Faction Militias are out there, looking for fights.
