For those who saw my earlier post this may seem quite familiar, and is indeed a pseudo-bump. However because of the differing time zones in respondents to the original research post I have decided to interview separately rather in small groups, so I figured I would re-post the topic in case this suited anyone else better. A re-brief of the project:
Currently I am conducting a research project into MMO’s as part of my masters’ degree thesis and am looking to discuss aspects of gameplay with players of EVE-online. The main emphasis of the project is on how we interact with other players within the game; playing MMO’s in general, building corps/alliances, roleplaying identities, etc. To give you a sample of some of the issues I’m looking at, see if you have an opinion on any of the following:
Do you feel part of a community within EVE? Does it differ much from your experiences of communities offline?
Has your choice of character has affected how people interact with you?
How does playing the game fit in with your offline life?
Taking part requires about 1 – 1.5 hours, depending on how talkative you’re feeling! Interview discussions take place on messenger and we’ll arrange a time when you are free and happy to talk. Participation is anonymous; you choose a name to attach to your comments that will used within the project and it is never associated with either yourself or your EVE character.
If you are interested in taking part then drop an email to:
The above is part of the project brief and so will be explained in a little more detail if you’re kind enough to volunteer.
Thanks in advance,
