Since this is player-driven markets its time to remove all skillbook sales from NPCs. Instead allow LP store and players supply the market as demand functions.

Skillbooks are a rather ok ISK sink.

Apart from that, you can sell them in 0.0.

So, how do you want to produce them? Download them from your Head and load em on a Disk?
No, thanks.

I do think the whole Skillsystem needs an overhaul, including NPC Skill Sales

why not?

firstly, im not in favor of this. but what an intriguing idea. you need lvl 5 in the skill, but once you have lvl 5, you can download the skill into a blank skillbook, and sell it. these skillbooks are far cheaper then NPC ones, but take far longer to train.

Entertaining this bizarre notion for a moment...

Why would a PC made skillbook take any longer to learn from than an NPC skillbook? It's the same training.

And if it were different, it would totally skew the current SP rate system. Some may argue you only need the book for getting to Lvl I. But I think it's a comprehensive textbook that covers all the levels. So you'd have to make a whole new rate for PC books, which would throw off everything.

Safer to say, that a Master can author a new book just like any other book.

Or better yet, just leave them as they are. Most books are sold from the Academy stations anyways, where books would be found.

I'm suggesting that skillbook source is only available in LP stores, thus allowing for more market opportunities to mission runners. Geeezz. Whats the point of having "gallente large blaster spec" in LP store if they are on sale in the same station?

I'd agree to something like "Gallente Hybrid Spec" books being LP, as opposed to randomly seeded.

But saying that you can't even get a copy of Gallente Cruiser until you build up enough LP to buy it... that's not cool.

How about add more skill books to the LP stores, then double the price of NPC skill books?

Doesn't this all depend on how much you value your LP?

If you only expect to get 500 ISK/LP, then your wish has already come true. Wink

Well i would like to see some new skill books, maybe some that adds skill points to the skill your training, at a 1/10 rate.

1million lp will give you 100k sp
