I think antialiasing support should be low on CCP's priority list. Definitely less important than "fix lag and stability."

A stable game is more important to me than a pretty game.

If Microsoft fixes DirectX9 to make it perform correctly maybe.

The issue is that using AA and HDR together in DirectX9 has a significant negative impact on performance. This is due to the way that the rendering calls are made.

So sorry this is not something we can 'fix'.

based on GTX 8800, 165 forceware, XP 32, Wolfdale c2duo 3GHZ, 4 GB Ram

You can enable HDR+AA in EVE by using NHANCER. I can play EVE at maximum combined Multi/Supersampling AA+HDR at about 20-60 FPS at maximum Anistropic Filtering at
1680x1080 Resolution. Lowering the AA settings a little gives a huge FPS Boost.

FPS docked at a station is btw LOWER than in open space. LOL

So this is simply a DRIVER based problem and not DirectX based that it doesnt
work from scratch. And given the fact that even premium content isnt really a
big deal for newer systems at maximum settings (my GPU+CPU feels bored running EVE)
it maybe worth a consideration for a lot of people. NHANCER is freeware and has
no adware/spyware. Google it. Profiles for EVE found in their forum too.

Oblivion had the option to enable both. Enabling AA or HDR disabled the other. Can we have this option in eve?

Also, any plans for a DX10 client since HDR+AA are supposedly supported from what I've herad?
