Hello, Insurgency. We are Anonymous.
Over the last 6 months, we have been watching you. Your campaigns of misinformation; suppression of dissent; your litigious nature, all of these things have caught our eye. With the leakage of your latest propaganda eve forum post into mainstream circulation, the extent of your malign influence over those who trust you, who call you leader, has been made clear to us. Anonymous has therefore decided that your organization should be destroyed. For the good of your followers, for the good of mankind--for the laughs--we shall expel you from Eve and systematically dismantle "Insurgency" in its present form. We acknowledge you as a failure opponent, and we are prepared for a short, infact to short campaign. You will not prevail forever against the angry masses of the body politic. Your methods, hypocrisy, and the artlessness of your organization have sounded its death knell.
You cannot hide; we are everywhere.
We cannot die; we are forever. We're getting bigger every day--and solely by the force of our ideas, malicious and hostile as they often are. If you want another name for your opponent, then call us Legion, for we are many.
Yet for all that we are not as monstrous as you are; still our methods are a parallel to your own. Doubtless you will use the Anon's actions as an example of the persecution you have so long warned your followers would come; this is acceptable. In fact, it is encouraged. We are your Kryptonite.
Gradually as we merge our pulse with that of your "Failsurge", the suppression of your followers will become increasingly difficult to maintain. Believers will wake, and see that salvation has no price. They will know that the stress, the frustration that they feel is not something that may be blamed upon Anonymous. No--they will see that it stems from a source far closer to each. Yes, we are Kryptonite.
Knowledge is free.
We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
Expect us.

Edited by: Iteken Hotori on 09/06/2008 22:04:09 Ther are alot of cute film quotes i think are valid - at least from a figters perspective about our short but beautiful lifespan in the North, a beauty like fire, but alot of it is too easliy interpreted as egotistical drivel.
When it comes down to it, ther are probably Greather than a million things that could have been done to prolong the life of this alliance, but in the end, no-one wanted that.
What teh masses wanted, to a certain degree, was constand boat violence and if we lose, we lose and if we win, we win.
I can't help but take my hat off and solidly salute a ridiculously long line of players i've been side-by-side with for 6 months making things bleed, having lulz, drinkign beer, telling stories and getting the snot beaten out of us. Hopefully this list is even 1% complete and you won't hunt be down for it. My fondest memories of the greatest 6 months of eve go to: "That mad celt" darth, "mentally disturbed" c4, dodgy welsh, "omg you suck" chris, "Fit a web" bv, "ol ginger" daco, ""resist untill we are dead" iticha, "oops another snakeset gone" munkee, "Guys i warped to the wrong cyno" seriya, "i'm emo" fely, "Cajones" agmar and all the people i've forgotten in between.
It's been epic.

Or perhaps they didnt want the space... perhaps they didnt want to put their alliances to the limits of their stomach for the game because thats what it is. Its an old tune i know but WHY drag an alliance through the muck to take something you really dont want. Perhaps you should take some history lessons yourself, you have no idea what TRI nor INSRG were capable of as single entities, they both of them at the very least deserve respect. You're right i dont know RA's full history but i know enough, and your sh*t posting is getting tiresome. RA lately have done NOTHING which warrants respect, and all you seem to do is smack everyone with goon cronies going yea go get em omeega you rock. TRI and INSRG stood up and mixed up the north, they brought conflict to a completely stable area, they provided an unstable element, and they brought large fleets capable of great destruction. No stamina was certainly not TRI's strong point but they mixed it up a bit, they achieved what they achieved themselves, they had one of the most profitable regions in eve and not once was it EVER truely challenged, smashkill came and got stomped, and they were only trying for a dead end useless stationless system. INSRG deserved what they got because they p*ssed so many people off but at the same time damnit it was exciting to see people do that. RA have got their stable friendships and reliable allies always playing the safe game, but this is eve, apparently pushing your members to the limits of their will and taking space with epicly boring "fights" is what its all about, thats what the real men do. I bow to thee. edit: and i dare say that RA has something not many alliances have, a language barrier. Many of your members cant speak english and so if they want to play this game and be involved in this large scale stuff they have but a few choices. And on your left you have the denial monument, built by the massive PVP forces of Triumvirate the day they achieved their campaign against CVA.
Please note that the statue took the shape of a tiger for some obvious reasons; courage, dedication and never willing to give up fighting.
You're probably wondering why the tail has another color; it had fallen one day but was replace when Tri closed their once-again-successfull campaign in BWF versus the mighty forces of Smashkill.
Now on your right you have the now famous Insurgency monkey statue wich was obviousely chosen for it's "intelligence" vertues represented through the amazing alliance members posting level.
No, no! Do not throw food at the birds please.
You might notice that the monkey statue looks like it's sniffing it's own nose making a disgusting face. Well, legend says it died to his own smell, or ego, depending wich version of the story you prefer.
That beeing said, let's go see the next monument, the hyena graveyard.
sorry i think your ignorant- if you are trying to say that we are ignorant, why choose one of the smartest animals besides humans to represent "stupidity". Monkeys have the biggest frontal cortex of almost all animals (Humans having the largest- which makes us human) so if your going to smack about "stupid" people, shouldnt be stupid yourself. Insurg was in no way a "refined" alliance. all they (we) cared about was causing trouble and starting ****- hence the name INSURGENCY. So if you want to compare us to what you guys may believe to be "good solid alliances"based on political strength and unity...then thats where you go wrong. "Failsurge" was def not a failure. It was a success which in turn, ended- thats how the world is. If we dont see more alliances like insurgency rise up, eve will get a little boring. We gave alliances like rzr and friends a good time. They got the chance to play eve, and we did as well. totally sucks that insurg is gone. Most of our players dont want it to end because we fear there arent too many alliances that could fill the void. But eitherway- it was awesome fighting with and against all you fools for the last few months. |

Edited by: Nuala Reece on 10/06/2008 22:22:55I'm sorry to see the end of INSRG. I was glad to be a part of it in the beginning and that Darth and the others saw what we in Starlancers Corp had to offer even though we were few in number. And even though I wasn't there personally at the end I've followed events and watched the ups and downs of the last few months in Venal and Branch with great interest and pride. Putting aside the politics and propaganda, bravado, spin and smack, from both sides (not to mention the spectacularly humourous lameness of spyzor4twinzor) what I liked about Insurgency - from the start to the bloody, bitter end - was that they embodied my two favourite quotes (both from Hagakure): Quote: Even if it seems certain that you will lose, retaliate. Neither wisdom nor technique has a place in this. A real man does not think of victory or defeat. He plunges recklessly towards an irrational death. By doing this, you will awaken from your dreams.
Quote: It is a principle of the art of war that one should simply lay down his life and strike. If one's opponent also does the same, it is an even match. Defeating one's opponent is then a matter of faith and destiny.
Sadly, it seems, Insurgency's faith could not overcome its destiny. But they leave a legacy, I'm certain, of pilots who've learnt what can be achieved by a relative few throwing themselves into battle come what may. Oh, and as an aside Originally by: Dacovale Finally Darth. A guy who's taken so much abuse it seems recently. A top fella to fly with. A great alliance commander. A stand up geezer. Thanks mate - without you none of this would've happened.
Couldn't agree more - best FC I've yet seen. Not only can he inspire people to follow him into battle against ridiculous odds, he has a peculiar habit of leading a good few of them out again too. Win or loose, that's nothing to smirk at. |

Expect us.
Who are you again ? :P Thanks for all the fun from both sides. Take care and see ya in space. Special regards for Trauts and his concerts a the mornings while repping the towers Edit: It is just a game; get over it |
