If you use a fast alligning/warping ship and do all the jumps manually, how much can you make out of courier missions per hour?
Is it much worse than combat missions? Does anyone make a living out of this?

Depends on so many factors that I can say it's somewhere between 1 and 9.999.999.999.999 isk.
Don't think isk/hour when hauling, do it because you don't want to (or can't) do a combat mission... |

I believe it is quite profitable, and in terms of standings over time, quite a bit better than combat missions, due to quicker completion times for the missions, especially when you do several missions at once.
People make a living out of it.
Lowsec courier missions are profitable enough that isk-farmers do them in large numbers. Make of that what you will. |

that tbh, it's like mining, inferior isk/hour to missions but then it's inferior effort too. |

Don't get me wrong, I CAN do level 4's.
However, I can do them slowly (T1 domi) and it requieres a lot of effort and attention. I would like to have something else to do while studying, and still get some money (is 30+ millions/hour possible?) |

The only problem with hauling is occasionally it throws you a curve ball in the form of a large package delivery or a long distance to travel. For what you state your reasons are, studying, its perfect really but i don't think you can make that isk per hour. Could be wrong on the isk, its been ages since i have done them. I used to combine them with trading and tried to line up several things at once to do, but that will eat your time and i wouldnt recommend studying AND doing that.
Tools of the trade would be inty, execuror, sigil and ity 5 :) each of those have there particular uses. |
