I'd like to see the gates not let anyone in who's not in fleet with the player who took the mission.

Mission salvager's and looter are getting out of hand.

Here you are, in your mission fitted ship taking aggro from all the rats in a missions. Then some punk shows up, he's not getting aggro from the rats your killing. He starts looting your cans, salvaging your wrecks. Sure you could open fire on him, but then his mates come in and blast you for shooting him! Or he's in a ship strong enough to take yours... especially since your already fighting the rats.

You could leave the mission, let him take the aggro, but then the looter just warps out and waits for you to return and take the aggro for him.

Your doing all the work while some punk sits there and robs you.

I'm really starting to hate this game.

Millicent Wrothriel, you really live in your own world, and fail to adapt. Listen, I'm not flaming, i will give you some advice which makes mission running fun. BUT I think you are very narrow minded, unable or even worse, unwilling, to try to beat the griefers on your own terms.

Rules in empire : No one can attack you unless being concorded, unless you aggress them. So hint : Don't aggress them.

1] Salvage/Loot during the mission. You say you run with a couple of friends, get one in a nice hauler with tractor/salvager. When there's nothing (or just a little bit) to salvage, the 'griefers' have to spend a lot of time scanning, with few rewards.

2] When PvP-ers jump in, jump out for 2 minutes. They're PvP fit, and are unlikely to tank the aggro, and have to warp out. You can easily see if they're out if you warp at the 1st gate and scan. Do this a few times, and they will give up.

3] Find easy regions/systems. The missions are all the same, so finding a nice and quiet system will get you rid of the griefers, give the same missions, but likely with some lower rewards because it's a Q16 agent instead of the Q20 you are running now in the missionhub. I know a few very neat systems, evemail me and I'll give you a few.

4] Adapt ! Be SMART ! There are numerous ways to beat those people, or bore them to death so they give up. Don't ask for solutions, don't ask for a SP game in an MMO.

BtW, asking for the removal of Concorde in your missions is just what pirates want : now they can get in and kill you, they don't even have to wait for aggression.

I can't apparently say it enough; Please see to the core of the issue.. The invaders have more protection than the mission runners.. Its not a matter of wanting concord out, or locking gates, or any other less than perfect idea.. Come on its not that difficult a concept to explore.

Make the environment fair. If a thief loots he should go flashy red agro to my entire fleet and/or corp.. I have suggested many reasonable and workable solutions and all I get from the detractors is how bad these ideas are.. I want the game to offer me the better side of the stick on this issue instead of making it so easy to exploit the limitations of engagement rules. How about this for simplicity, in empire looting or salvaging a wreck that wasn't your kill gets you killed by concord.. there all fixed. Extreme, but clearly puts the blame and the big concord target on the invader not the defenders.

I am not really interested in PvP, I'm all carebear PvE. I do not steal, I do not invade, I am one of the "good guys" seeking my fortune in a way that does not take away from other players. Concord thus should work for me not against me. If concord can't prevent the "Bad Guys" from exploiting concord and the "Good Guys", screw it all. We just ought to drop concord, eliminate this lie called high Security space and lets be on even ground everywhere. If setting everything to 0.0 rules is the only way to make it all the same for everyone in every case, lets do that! I'm sick of seeing these little parasites get away with robbery while the honest players can't do what comes naturally. Retaliate with as much force and as many friends as they can summon.

1. In many cases an L4 or L5 mission required alot of help. Having a dedicated looter while awesome is not always possible. We do that as much as we can. On solo missions, you're just screwed. Blow up your own loot & salvage, or watch helpless.

2. They don't jump in PvP in empire.. They start with the jiffy pop salvager.. If you dare to pop them, then they return with a gank ship and possibly friends.. Its just so much hassle that missioners are typically not prepared for it. But the parasites are very prepared and look forward to it. They KNOW they have the advantage.

3. Missions are where the agents are mate.. You go where you can to accomplish the things you've planned for, faction, LP's etc.. Being in an obscure place does not protect you, only makes you feel like you tried when you get robbed again.

4. Although apparently several of you feel differently, CCP ought to adapt, get smarter. There is nothing wrong with wanting to play space cowboys with your friends.

Very predicatble reply. "I want" , 'I'm not interested", "CCP must".

The "flagged only to owner" was implemented not too long ago, just because of issues.
As you fail to adapt, you are really better off in another game. You'll burn out soon enough.

I've been running missions for 6 months with friends, and never had anyone stealing. That's because I adapted. The game is slightly in favour of the PvP-ers, and that's *just* how CCP wants it. If you're unwilling to adapt : CIHYS ?

Maybe it has already been said... Shoot the loot the thief if flying towards. After the 3rd time he will give up and go find someone else.

It has worked for me every time.

If you make it not profitable for them they will find something else to do.

Then what is the point of the non-instanced instance? Oh, and imagine that, a war target would hide inside the Dead Space pocket, all the while no one can scan him down, or if they can, they can not enter the DS pocket because some people want a single player game.... get a bloody grip......

not like he's gonna stay in there all day. you could easily catch them at the station, set a trap if they warp out and come back, etc. not that i'm condoning deadspace as instanced-like.

i do like the idea of concord ignoring the support of fleet members in situations such as these. and getting rid of the ability to scan drones easily there. otherwise i think its fine the way it is.

Simply allow the mission holder to tag the intruder(s) as agressive for the fleet that they are with.

They will be fleet boss, so just set master target!?!
the fleet then get the same agro flags as the boss and concord dosnt need to get involved...

Sooooo SimpleCool

Its a case of you cross me you cross my whole family, say hello to my little friends :)

my carebear, mission running, PvE loving ass is heading somewheres else to spend money.

we all need to do our part to reduce lag, maybe your part is leaving =P

ive had the same problem u stated happen to me, but this is a SANDBOX style game, we all go about our business and do whatever we want...unfortunately even if that is going around and ruining people game experience. free-form gameplay is a double edged sword, and CCP has already taken the firm stance that they think the free-form of the game is more important than pandering to people that want to be left alone. personally, i fully agree with CCP YARRRR!!

Hmm, this is an interesting thing to bring up.

If CONCORD can get out there to pop you for RoE violation, why don't they just wipe out those pirate NPCs to begin with? CONCORD should have no business outside of warp-lanes and celestials.

(edit: "warplanes" -> "warp-lanes" for clarity)
