one of my concerns as an anti pirate in low sec is that a pirate can shoot my alliance member. but i can not help without getting flagged for it. what im talking about is having a mechanic of that person shot first and should be flagged and should be open to get shot. but with the current mechanics its not possible.it also makes anti piracy a hassle when they get to fire first and the allys cant help or when they do they get flagged as well. i mean there has to be some other way to make the mechanic a little more sufficient. cause it should have a self defense mechanic not just the dude that fired at u but the friends to help out as well cause he is a pirate.it also makes it hard to differ from who is pirate and who is not. since some anti pirates get flagged alot because of this mechanic defect in my opinion i would love feedback on this.

Any real pirates will be below -5, and thus to my understanding can be shot without sec loss. I'm not completely opposed to alliance flagging, though I'd suggest you reorganize into a primary corp so corp flagging will get you through.

Also, a lot of anti-pirates in my experience are just moralizing pirates, who deserve to get flagged. Taking up the title shouldn't be immunity from sec loss.

That is the way it currently works.

If a pirate attacks a neutral target, he will be globally flagged, even in low sec, so he is fair game for anyone to attack without a security hit.

Only if your alliance friend was the first to attack, or the "pirate" had a legitmate agression flag for attacking, would you take a security hit for assisting.

not really its buggy cause sometimes that doesnt work at all.
