You do realise that a solo HIC tanking sentries will die to any ship bigger then a T1 cruiser?

In fact, strike that. If it's tanking sentries it'll die to a T1 cruiser Laughing

I said "scout ftw' I didnt say it had to be YOUR 2nd account scout, use a corpm8

This. I've scouted for a T1 hauler to make 2 round trips from Teonusude to D2EZ-X (That's 50 jumps, through lowsec and 0.0 the entire way) for a corpmate who didn't have an alt to scout with in order to get emergency NPC pos fuel out there when my corporation didn't yet have capital ships to move cargo with...

In the six months my corp has been operating, we've lost ONE hauler - to a highsec suicide gank (gg Zenith Affinity, sorry all the really expensive stuff blew up). HICs and the infinitpoint have never caused my people a problem and there are two large pirate entities in the lowsec our capital ships stage from which camp the gates with HICs (a Phobos and an Onyx respectively) on a regular basis.

A correctly fit hauler can pass a HIC with NO problems. Fit a cloak and learn how to use it. Instead of fitting warp core stabilizers, learn to make your ship's align time super fast (i-stabs, nanos, cheap rirgs like low friction nozzle joints). If your hauler is a T1 ship, you might not have the option of MWD, but it's been in another thread on General Discussion that blockade runners can fit the MWD AND a decent tank (for a hauler) with little to no trouble (the crane needs one powergrid rig, whoop-de-doo).

HICs aren't broken, people who think WCS is the be-all, end-all of saving your ship are.

Always a version of the same reply: a cloaked blockade runner can make it. Perfect.

Now explain to me how I move a BS. 1 single BS, not a convoy, not calling a friend to spend an evening because I want to move 1 BS in low sec.

You think you should be able to move a single bs through low sec.... ugh

You are not supposed to move battleships freely around alone in low sec.

Disagree.

They are interdictors. They are doing what they are supposed to do; preventing things from warping, regardless of stabs. That's the whole point of the ship-class.

Agree. Sensor boosted HIC's are too powerful. Infinite strength is out of line for a ship this small.

And here I thought it was called MWD/Guns - you can pulverize a HIC with just about any battleship on the market if you PvP fit it and can catch him.

No.

If you can't get past a hictor, then learn to play. HIC's don't change the effectiveness of pirate gatecamps at all, they just make it slightly more convenient for us. We've always been able to run 10 point laches sensorboosted to catch frigates. Now theres a tougher ship that has trouble catching cruisers.

1 Wanna get past one? Istabs rather than WCSs.
2 MWD out of his range, those guys are slow.
3 bring ECM. A hic that can't lock you can't catch you
4 scout
5 bring an escort
6 avoid lowsec

... there are other methods for avoiding/evading hictors that i use on a regular basis to get past them. I fly my alt's occator through lowsec all the time. The only thing i'm ever afraid of is bubbles, and theres none of those in lowsec.

In lowsec, you should never lose a ship unless you've engaged someone, and you should NEVER lose your pod unless you're smartbombed. If you do, then l2p
