For people who have been playing for a while will be the first to notice.

Prices for everything are spinning out of control.
Most loot is better to refine then it is to sell.
very few things you can make for a profit (not counting t2)
Ore prices are bottoming out. Why on earth is the most common ore one of the best to mine in high sec.

Solutions anyone?

I have a crude and intense solution that may upset a lot of people for a while but i think in the long run it will put us back on track.

remove asteroids from the game for xx days.

!! ARE YOU CRAZY !!
hear me out.
the reason things are becoming so cheap is because the supply is much higher then the demand.
Think about it. if we can stick it out long enough for the market to pick back up we will all be happer people. Our hard work will pay off more in the long run. The risk we take to jump into low sec will be worth it again and everyone will be happer... that is unless your a macro miner Very Happy

you think the 'supply' is from mining? you think it won't go straight back to the current levels a short while after this interferance?

ok then...

the price wars are legitimate, commodity markets behave like they should in eve...

the financial system in eve is corrupt though, 1st NPC bounties and the isks come from nowhere... there is production driven economy and 'spare isk influx' from the bounties kind of economy. 2nd insurance system is totally wrong

the nature of items in eve is odd, once item is destroyed it is gone, magically

the bounties isk influx is compensated by the continuos ship losses... the desire of people's buying a new ship and loosing it is only limited by their desire to kill NPCs for bounties

the natural isk sink is only the NPC goods, the money doesn't not go to other players so to say

over time the total amount of ISK in game should be increasing, it comes naturally from bounties and mission rewards and ends up in the hands of manufacturers, traders and brokers

when the volume of isks exceeds the volume of goods the inflation occurs...

isk comes from NPCs (bounties, trade goods) and goes to NPCs (trade goods, multibillion outpost construction platforms)

isk is preserved in the player trade

the real value of the item is defined by its utility, not the production costs, not the purchasing price, not the current market value

isk creation and mineral creation in eve go independently... the players decide what to do best... the economy as a result is open ended and asymmetrical, where prices are defined by the proportion between ISK supply and Mineral Supply

ISK destruction only occurs during NPC trade, Mineral Destruction only occurs during item destrution (either in-space or thrash away in-station)

ISK creation >= ISK destruction; Mineral creation >= Mineral Destruction

both controlled by players, leads to assumption that ISKs and Minerals in game tend to grow... but not essentially equally

Player Minerals are priced actively... in terms of isk per unit, isk value reacts passively

Real world economic model suggests that the ISKs lie idle in numerous wallets and not all of it is released, traded or destroyed, in theory ISKs are easier to preserve than the Minerals, if ISKs are suddenly released the inflation surges sharply

GTC trade is booming, people buy GTCs to get the ISKs that was once spare in someone's wallet... they get this isk and deliver it to the market immediately because they want to buy something, either it is a Mineral Based Item or NPC based item... which results in higher prices for minerals and higher prices for NPC non-mineral based items

ISKs can be released instantly, Minerals and Mineral based items take time to replenish the supply

the price of the item is defined by the willingness of the competitors to sell this amount at this price level... if there is too much supply the people will prefer to abandon the production rather than keep cutting the price down

i.e. no one wants to work for peanuts - if there is too much, the producers will switch to more profitable money/(effort+time) activities

if there are no Jovian ships for sale... the billions won't help to get one, if there is no supply of Raven State Issue then you can't buy it even for 8 billion isk

If Navy Ravens price goes too low, people will prefer not to produce Navy ravens as it will not be worth their time...
Dumping and lowering the price is not endless in this game

If isk is easier to make than the minerals then there is inflation, if isk is hard to get then there is deflation... if something is not worth the time and money then it is not supplied

Mineral suppliers can set the price of their minerals, ISK holders can only react to these prices, they can not force the price of the isk up or down on their own

Excessive IKS leads to inflation and isk redistribution, Excessive Minerals supply leads to shrinking of the supply, not lowering the price

only new technologies can truly affect the easiness of supplying ISK/Minerals and thus the relative pricing, other than that are just market disproportions, temporary and often lasting not long

Serious economics? There is nothing serious or useful about the op's so called idea.

This sounds like a veldspar stimulus check. Pwease siw can i have some mow?!?

Really though, I am very new and I don't see any problems with the prices. I shop around and if I don't like the price I give it to my corps and ask for a ship. The op doesn't sound like a problem, only an incentive to actively find a steady income.
