Hi I am a Japanese player and I have noticed there is no candidate that represents anything for Japanese players, which is a sizeable population of Eve.

Therefore, I am willing to be your Japanese spokesperson (A group unreachable and without a candidate) for 100 mil ISK (negotiable). I will campaign in Japanese forums, channels, corp channels, etc which are unnavigable to all other candidates. I am familiar with almost all Japanese players, who are very close knit because of the language barrier. Spreading your message to this group of voters who currently do not have a candidate will definitely be one of the sure moves to aid your campaign.

Please be a voice for a group of eve citizens often neglected in this large bureaucratic mess.

Please feel free to respond with any questions or concerns
Thank you,

Azzma

My reply:

Dear Azzma,
Thank you for your interest in my campaign, and thank you for your kind offer. However please note that I would rather be voted for because of my actions, ability to listen to arguments, and debate of these in an intelligent fashion. Therefore, I will have to decline your offer to campaign for me for the price of 100 mil isk. Campaign for me because you think I will be a good representative on the council. Please remember to vote!
Take care,
Arithron

I received this mail too - reminded me a little of a Nigerian bank account scam. Amusing though! Cool

Hehe - You too Cool

I guess he's been busy sending that to all candidates.

Would net him 6B+ if all agreed.

Needless to say, I politly declined, explaining I have no wish in "buying votes".

I too have received such an EVEmail.

It's a great idea, sending the "I will be your spokesperson" email to each candidate privately. As was pointed out, should candidates take him up on his offer there could be a sizable increase to his wallet.

I wish him luck as I've no interest in handing ISK over for a vote.

Give the CSM time, somewhere down the road someone will start paying for votes. I guess it's all a matter of how desperately someone wants to get into the CSM. And, I'd have to imagine the moment a candidate pays for a vote that the recipient of the ISK will be plastering the forums with the "this candidates for sale" posts.

I also declined his offer but I thought it was a great idea to make some isk. The election process has always provided money making opportunities.

Yup, I got this evemail too....I find it amusing, and it's the exact same evemail I got. I made him the same promise I make the other players, to represent him in the CSM.

Honestly, I don't know what he wants out of this evemail. I know most, if not all, of the players have been in the game for a long time, and aren't likely to fall for such a scam.
