Ok Candidates,

I am the AVERAGE player ...

  • I don't care about politics

  • I have 1 account

  • I log on to do my 'thing' in eve to escape Real Life if for just a few hours

  • I am not one of the 'CHOSEN' few to run with the big dogs in 0.0

  • I am not one to cry in-game and get things changed by CCP ::cough:: war dec nerf

  • I am not one whose been on since BETA

  • I AM broke and have to go through the 'GRIND' to keep myself going in-game

WHO should i vote for THAT will ENSURE that the 'AVERAGE JOE's gaming is kept FAIR and enjoyable ??

I would say vote for me. This article over at my campaing website might be of interest to you.
http://noghri08.wordpress.com/2008/05/05/my-5-issues-for-the-csm/

My number #1 issue to press CCP on is to get them to address lag. As an "Joe Average" Player I assume that this effect you more then any other aspect of the game

If you like what you see over there, then vote for me here:

If you are only going to play for a few hours here and there, I would think that more interesting missions, and more easily attainable goals would be the best thing to go with. Things that you can get and enjoy without having to play all the time. I am also a casual player, to a point. I do have my long Saturdays and Sundays once in a while.

I have plenty of ideas on how to boost that kind of play for those of us that have a full class schedule, jobs, or a family and enjoy these games when we have time to play them. If you have some please let me know.

There are lot of good candidates out there that will probably support you on the same level. Hope we can help you out.

I wouldn't bother. Alternatively have a quick browse of the candidates campaign threads and pick one that "feels right" or who you just like the sound of as a person

Probably Max Torps or Ankenspankme.

Both of them stand on platforms of representing the average guy.

Real edit: Personally I voted for Jade Constantine cos he is far from average but you do what feels right. Smile

Honestly, this shows you dont know much about the joe average problems. Unless you got irritating habbit of doing missions in missionhubs, lag isnt a problem.

You could consider me as well, as one of my primary issues is making sure the game is interesting and enjoyable for solo players, unorganized groups of friends, and small corporations.

As another average player I would recommend this candidate to you: Arum Erzoh

Originally by: Arum Erzoh

I play EVE as an escape from my otherwise busy life, and have introduced several of my friends to the game.

I represent the little guy; the pilot who spends their time in high-security space running missions, mining, exploring, hauling, and otherwise just enjoying the game while attempting to make ends meet.

As another "average player", I would also recommend Arum Erzoh aka "Brettwick Gordon".

If i were you i'd most likely vote for

Jade Constantine
Goumindong
or
Serenity Steele

Few others are worth mentioning but those 3 in that order would have my vote if i could vote more then once.

Edit: Figured i'd toss 3 more in here that are definitely worth mentioning; Max Torps Ankenspankme and Omber Zombie though not my favorites do have good heads on their shoulders.

Well Pitboss, we're seeing Eve moving into very challenging times right now. Big alliances are getting richer and more powerful by the day, 0.0 infrastructure is creating vast near-indestructible empires far beyond the ability of lone players (and smaller corporations) to affect and counter. Much new development has been directed at end-game content and trying to make vast fleet battles playable for the enjoyment of the 0.0 elite and to my eyes we've been missing the opportunity to promote decent and entertaining content for smaller scale casual gamers in a variety of settings. You need a voice to argue for the individual player, a voice with the depth of experience and force of will to argue successfully for the protection of player opportunity in this universe through the provision of new content and diverse avenues of engagement in empire, lowsec and 0.0 in the future.

I'm here as an example of what an individual player can achieve in this game of Eve Online Pitboss, I started Eve with a dozen friends in 2003 with a little corporation of anarcho-capitalist trouble-makers and a desire to have fun, set the universe on fire and generally write ourselves in the history of the single-server environment. Thats my perspective and bias - I want to ensure that anyone can achieve the things we have with a little style, enthusiasm and focus and that Eve will never become a place where only the super-alliance membership can gain the fruits of success.

Trust me with your vote and lets keep Eve a game where budding commander Jameson's can still make good and enjoy this environment of political intrigue and sudden violence and never get overshadowed by the sim-city-in-space mechanics of the 0.0 frontier.

The PitBoss,

It's tough with so many candidates, so many forum posts, and so many websites to fully educate yourself on all candidate stances and platforms. However, I can empathize with your situation as it's one I'm in myself. Should you have the time or interest you can find a little more about me on my website, my original forum post (prior to this forum category), or my official CSM forum post.

As I don't go out of my way to heckle people to vote for me I'd recommend looking into my information if you're interested, and should I earn your vote it will be because you felt I was a fitting candidate - not because I asked you to.

You should read the candidate's blurb on the candidate post, find a few you like the sound of, then check out their threads on the Jita Park Speakers forum.

This should tell you enough about the candidates to decide who you will vote for.

Take care,

For your type of play I would say you could vote for any of us. Most candidates will have areas that interests them more then others and if any of these match what you feel needs work then choose them. But for the, lets use the term Casual, player I would say it is the CSM as a working group that will help you more then any one member.

Oh, and of course since its expected, please vote for me.

I think that Hardin would be a good choice for the average player.

As a member of the CVA he has been instrumental in creating their open space policy which has given a lot of neutral pilots their first taste of life in 0.0.

On top of that his alliance creation business has ensured that he's worked with players with an enormous variety of playstyles and understands why most of them play the game.

I would go with Ankhesentapemkah.
