Report from Captain Ka'lorn Fonta

Neural pathways reconnecting...

Connection Established....

Booting up Interface...

Active. . . . .

Ka'lorn yawned as he was awoken by a Comms from his Chief Officer... The short sleep had been refreshing, having spent 36 hours sat directing his crew on the latest improvements to his ship. Communicating with his Chief Officer, he was jolted out of his slumberous state as he was made aware that there were multiple hostiles in system. Immediately he signalled for a channel to be opened with PIE's Senior Leadership.

Siobhan and Light Kominski answered his hails. Apparently our kills earlier that day hadn't gone unnoticed. Early this morning, Darax Thulain had been caught undocking from a station, his Mammoth ripped to shreds by two of the Empire's Frigates, piloted by Ka'lorn Font'a and Light Kominski. Just hours after that, the renowed Maggot had lost his Megathron in a valiant charge to the Lustrevik gate in Pator, only to be torn to shreds by the holy Amarrian lasers of the two PIE Battleships stationed there.

Ka'lorn sat and discussed the position with both PIE Vice-Admirals, summarising what action could be undertaken. The Comms channel stuttered as a third familiar voice joined the line. Ciar, another PIE Official, explained that there was a large Oracle incursion into the heart of the Amarrian Empire occuring at that moment.

A plan was formulated, and a course was quickly set to try and outthink the vigilant Terrorists in their home system, whilst a second CVA fleet formed to combat the Oracle threat.

==Minutes Later==

Scouting system to system back to Amarr, Cpt. Font'a led the two PIE Battleships, piloted by Siobhan and Light Kominski back towards the safety of Amarr space.

Jumping into Ashab, the three PIE pilots heard of a regrouped Minmatar threat just a couple of jumps away. Making a quick tactical decision, Fleet Commander Ciar chose to hold at the gate into Ashab, and await the onslaught of the Minmatar.

Sat waiting... Ka'lorn flipped his mind towards that of his training... He'd been busy studying the scrolls on Combat tactics and techniques, in a bid to better his piloting skills. Issuing orders throughout his ship to his crew to brace for action, he sensed danger as the JumpGate activated... and again... and again... Scanners indicated a Battleship on Scanners... Doublechecking the name, "Zoolkhan", the Crusader frigate swung into action, rapidly closing the distance to the Typhoon-class Battleship. Engaging the targetting scanners, he quickly closed down and scrambled the Battleship, sending a signal over comms to the fleet to concentrate firepower.

Within seconds the Minmatar Typhoon crumbled to dust, whilst the CVA fleet changed it's direction of firepower towards Admiral Iceblock of Northern Intelligence. With his Structural Integrity failing, the Admiral managed to escape into warp. "BLAST!" Ka'lorn thought to himself, but then was re-immersed as the next target came through the comms. Quickly doing a 180 and blasting his ship towards the Tempest-class Battleship, Stratton soon found himself under a sustained barrage of laser fire. An explosion filled the locality as the Energy Source powering the Tempest exploded.

"Yes!" thought Ka'lorn... Two Battleships down and not a single loss... The comms channel crackled, and the faint voice of Siobhan sounded throughout the ship...

"Structural Integrity failing... Life Support Systems Inactive..." . At the same time Siobhan's capsule launched itself out of the Apocalypse-class Battleship, and quickly entered warp.

The CVA fleet turned around... Seemingly outgunned and outnumbered, they entered warp in the direction of the Amarr Homeworld...

"Comms... Failing... Shields... . down... .taking dam..Zzzz..........." The distinguishable voice of Kular of Dark Seraph crackled through the ship.

"REPORT!" Ka'lorn ordered, but was greeted by a barrage of static. At that moment one of the PIE frigate pilots reported the loss of the Raven-class Caldari Battleship at the Kehour Gate, stranded but strangely without power, unable to enter warp.

The two sides stood, at opposite gates in the Ashab system... Waiting... Repairing... Anxiously waiting for them to follow.

Ka'lorn activated his warp drive, aiming it straight at the Enemy Fleet. Dropping out of warp, he revsersed power and sat, waiting... 300km from the gate. Waiting for any advance indication of their plans...

To his surprise, the StarGate activated, and the fleet vanished, ship by ship, back towards the Minmatar Republic. The Amarrians had prevented the fleet from reaching Amarr, doubtlessly saving countless lives from the wrath of the Minmatar Terrorists.

[OOC]: Great fight, condolences to those whom lost their ships. Was good to see the Minnies out in things bigger than Cruisers

To clarify 7 terrorists battleships from the 'Friends of Matar' grouping piloted by:

Admiral IceBlock
Stratton
Zoolkhan
Woolvius
Ti Ahh
Nebus
Hobspawn

+ 3 cruisers and 1 frigate piloted by:

Maggot
Witchdoctor
Frosty
Mai Mirani

Clashed with a CVA fleet of 6 battleships piloted by:

Ciar Meara
Siobhan
Light Kominski
Kular
Mahhy
Jaketh

+ four frigs piloted by:

Jobe Katarn
Bakkah
Ka'lorn Fonta
Vladic

The battle followed the destruction of Maggot's terrorist Megathron in Pator a little earlier.

The main clash occured at the Kehour gate in Ashab. It resulted in the loss of two CVA battleships and two frigates and the destruction of two 'Friends Of Matar' battleships and a frigate + a few close calls on either side...

After the destruction of the two CVA battleships the outgunned CVA forces withdrew to to Ashab/Amarr gate to prevent the entry of the terrorists to Amarr...

After the fleet had reorganised it warped back to the Kehour gate to re-engage the terrorists but they had already left for home...

The safety of the Empire was preserved. Both sides will lick their wounds...

Long Live The Empire

Nice report, Hardin. Our goal wasn't to terrorize Amarr, it was to engage the fleet and destroy as many ships as we could.

You guys almost eliminated my battleship in Pator when Kalorn got me to shoot at him, but I turned off my weapons and turned on my shield hardeners and waited for a chance to dock. My shields held at about 50% when I docked, so whew. During the battle, I wasn't much of a target because I was only getting scratched from Siobhan's drones.

Sounds like a well matched and well fought battle. It is unfortunate that the attacking forces did not capitalize further on their advantage, but I am never one to critizise the tactics or courage of my Minmatar brethren. Especially since I was not available to assist in the attack.

Note the vigilance with which we defend access to our Capital system.

I sincerely believe the fleet would have fought to the last ship if the engagement had been taken further and access to Amarr itself had been threatened. For we do not budge an inch in the face of anarchy and disorder. Such is the zeal of the CVA.

You shall NOT pass as long as there is breath left in a single of our pilots.

To those who fought and died tonight, I salute you all.

It was one of the most suspenseful battles I have ever been engadged in and I was dearly surprised to see our enemy mass such a large fleet as they had never done so befor. Alas my ship went down under some rather strange malefunction of the warp drives. I don't care my death kept the enemies at bay giving time for our fleet to rallie and return stronger. Glory for Amarr, and pity apon those who would defy us!

I fully agree with gaius, we drew a line in ashab system and it was not crossed although the enemy held the gate to kehour and we held the Amarr one the battle in all its respects was a draw. Praise to all the pilots and a salute to the lost ships.

Although it is a shame that just when we decided to warp back we got report of ships leaving the system.

Enemy Warriors,

We thought we had done better than the confirmed kill list shows, hence our return to Pator. It was only later we realised that two additional 'kills' had in fact escaped. Light, I would like to know just how many atoms of your hull remained?

No matter, the spiced wine was drunk in abundance, and I paid the bar bill from my Megathron insurance payout. After handing in my Battleship license to Admiral Iceblock it was time to go back to cruiser piloting.

I hope the picket of three frigates you left in Yulai will learn not to question the abilties of my Bellicose again.

Minmatar warriors and opponents of slavery, come join the fleet of the FOM. The CVA grows bigger by the day. This is a battle we cannot afford to loose. The freedom of all is at stake.

Maggot.

A well fought battle indeed. It was my first since starting EvE and I was impressed by the whole thing. Both sides showed true professionalism and courage.

I was glad to have helped scramble and web Maggot! He fought very well though.

The report is as excellent as the battle was.

Salutes to the fallen on either side, you deserve
the grave of a true warrior with all honours.

When i faced the concentrated fire of 3+ BS
i had a smile on my face.

I knew, for once.. i die in a honest battle.
And i knew my shield would buy me the time
to launch a few deadly salvos upon my opponent...

I accept my degradation to frigate pilot.

The 'FMS Icewind' survived only 2 days...

I dont regret this as a personal loss, i rather
think i distracted fire from our fleet - so this
loss had a sense.

Before we did the jump through the gate, i used the
intercom to ask my crew:

"Are you ready to die?"

I got no answer. But Engineering took over
the control and directed the FMS Icewind towards the gate.

I knew - this was the answer of my crew, and so i followed the admirals order and initiated the jump before the admiral
finished his sentence..

i ordered to put all guns on autofire back on first target.

As soon as i discovered how fast my shields & armor is melting i asked my 1st officer: "jump or die?"
he said... this is the perfect battlefield to die on.

the result is history now. the warp core remained cold
while the hull began to glow under the lazerbeams..

234 crewmen are known do be dead, 12 missing in action
and 25 survived and reported back to FOM-naval Base Pator.

Best battle I've been in so far, no question.

Excellent write-up Hardin/Ka'lorn, although to my battle altered awareness, it seemed to last much longer than you managed to convey. It is, however, impossible to capture it’s true essence in words, you just had to be a part of it.

Mobilise your fleets, ready your warriors, the beginning has begun…

If its any consolation Zoolkhan, you should take the long "hitlist" as a mark of respect.

Though our beliefs differ wildly and insurmountably on certain subjects. I would defy any Amarrian present at the battle to regard you and yours as anything other than brave and fierce in battle.

Sorry about the lateness of my reply. Maggot, I had between 30-40% armour when I engaged warp. Funnily enough the planet I warped to had Stratton sitting in his pod.

I will admit I was impressed with the forces you had gathered. It was good to see some fighting spirit in all of you. Perhaps, one day you will be useful for the Empire when you eventually see the light.

Excellent report Hardin & Ka'l, reading it stirs the feelings of battle within me.

Kular and Gaius, I am with you. There is no doubt CVA would have held the gate to Amarr and fought to the last man if the Minmatar terrorists had continued to engage.
