Hydra Alliance vs Phalanx Alliance
Hydra had 100+ (60 Sniping bs 150+km,no dictors,almost no tacklers,and bc for suport) and a cap fleet on stand-by it seems but they could not use it because the had no cyno ship with them.
Phalanx had 70+ (30 bs Close range,dictors,takelers)
PA gang was preparing to jump on the hydra gang even if we where outnumbered, right on top of the hydra fleet.As we jumped in the system all the hydra fleet warped out to a safespot leaving all they'r drones behind and aparently some mining drones,

We probed out they'r safespot and killed some battleships as they where with agro and for the duration of 2 day we manage to kill more than HALF of they fleet because they where login on one by one and died as they tried to make a run for it.

edit: I really don't think Hydra are capable to snipe 150km+ with a whole fleet ... maybe some 10-20 ships but not 60 like you said with all that t1 gear :| |

don't disrespect the whole of hydra tbh, I've flown with those guys before when i was in Rule Of Three, and they are nice/Good guys, it just sounded like that FC was totally incompetent and totally unprepared to lead a 100 man + fleet with capital support.
To be honest, i'm an FC as well, and if you feel you can't handle such a fleet yet, don't. I've had to do this as well before when I felt uneasy leading a good 2 bill isk fleet into enemy space for the first time, So i relinquished command to one of our senior FC's which DID have the confidence to pull it off.
Again, kind of failure yes, but not really the fault of Hydra as a whole. IF you read it its just a failure of a FC who needs to get a LOT more experience leading fleets or just needs to stop leading fleets all together.
getting a good 100+ people killed without a real excuse is NOT a good way to go about FC'ng :s

blah blah blah you are probably right, but as Seth told, its fail if you cant find proper fc between other 100 ppl in gang.. and.. man to log on to ss which is camped without a scout and lose your ships for 2 days in a row.. its not just fc.. its stupidity of pilots.. i am sorry for Hydra, they just fail..  |

I belive the point is they didnt have a superior force, you could just about argue it was Equal. So if your the FC your damned if you do, flamed if you dont. But I suppose as they all died running away they may as well have fought. |

The point is that in the beggining (when we were on N0C gate in VG- and they were on N0C gate in V3X) they had superior force. They were in sniper fit and in sniper spot.. They had around 60 BS and we had exactly 32(i know i have counted).. they had 50 ish support we had only 40ish.. and we jumped into their camp.. that doesnt count as superior force right?  |

In reply, Ship numbers dont really = a superiority in my books. Its more down to ship type. If they had no way to hold you on the gate, then just waiting there would mean you guys would jump in, take get a few hits then warp to then get a cloaker to make a warpin on top and you then proceed to **** them.
The log off I would guess was because they were worried about the same thing happening but at a safe.
Basically if they didnt have any bubbles then what they did would be what I would do (well, I would wait around till you warped out then do what they did :P) and my point stands. If they did have bubbles in place then really they did mess up big style and am wrong :D

But this topic was trying to make out that Hydra warping away was the fail, which although it did fail in the end.. It was the right thing to do in that situation. :D.
Just a question that doenst really need an answer,if they did have a bubble, would you have jumped in? Maybe you did jump in because deep down you knew that without the bubble they had no real superiority :P.

PS. My god a proper tac talk on COAD that isn’t OMG YOU FAIL LOLZ. I give it five minuets before CCP locks it :)
