When i go to an Amarr station that belongs to the government i always see mounuments. They look very weird too, they look like a dome thing with a statue on the top and alot of things that look like trees going down from the bottom. I was wondering if anyone has heard what exactly these are.

Not specifically though typically some monuments are created to honour great people of their history, or to makr a turning point in that civilisation. Concidering that the Amarr do not have very many turning points, I would suggest the former.

There are also monuments like this in Luminare around Caldari Prime and Gallente Prime. These are no doubt to mark the commemoration of those lost in the war between the two as both races do not have a history of such self worship like the Amarr. Such personal honours would no doubt take the place of a wall of fame in their governing hallways than a grand statue floating in orbit around a planet.

I too though would like to see some more descriptions in the info windows as relates to that specific statue, rather than a generic description. Something like "This memorial is dedicated to..." or something.
