I've seen a lot of ninja ratters about 0.0 space recently, and I have to be honest, they are terrible terrible setups.

First off, they general use a large ship that is not maneuverable. Secondly, they equip the ship with a cloak which severely hurts their locking time.

So here you go folks, the best Ninja Ratting ship in the game, the Nemesis:

H - 3 Arby Cruise Launchers, 1 Light Electron Blaster, 1 TII Cloak
M - 1MN AB II, 3 Small Shield Extender IIs
L- Micro Aux Power Core, Gonzo Damage Control

This ship is a tad fragile, so the key is to uncloak, shoot a small rat, recloak. Wash, rinse & repeat. The extenders give you a small amount of buffer and the Gonzo Damage Control helps you out when those really tough frigates touch up up into structure.

Constructive comments welcome...

If you think your ship is better than ninja ratting than my Nemsis setup, please post an actual ship loadout. Raven and Ishtar are sub par ships in general IMHO.

Lol. 1/10.

Your ninja ratting fit is probably good, but I don't really rat anymore unless it's going to drop me nice faction loot and I'm not really a big fan of ninjas.

Pirates > Ninjas imo.

I'd use a nano ishtar sans the warp disruptor. You can't beat the DPS from 5 <appropriate heavy drone> II's hot dropped on top of each battleship in turn.

No, no he's right. The raven is a terrible ship. Always primary ravens last! (especially mine)

OP fails. Ninja ratting without salvager = waste of time.

Retribution works rather well as well as being cost effective and having no ammo use.

Ninja ratting with drones is a terrible idea unless you have a very large supply of drones easily available.

Ishtar. It is reasonably fast, you can pick damage types and plenty of free high slots for salvager, cloak etc...

Just your standard raven loadout with a cloak, cant be that hard

6x siege launchers, cloak
pithi b small booster, 2x boost amps, 2x invul, 1x target painter
3x ballistic controls II
2x expanded cargohold II
2x missile velocity rigs
1x missile flight time rig
10900x torps in your hold with the appropriate dmgtype

Drones: whatever, rats gonna be dead before they arrive. Maybe some ec600/ec 300 for ppl tackling you after being stupid not cloaking up.

Real men fight for their territory though.

U cannot take down a 1.8mil bs with that Nemesis, not to mention the 3 bs 3 bc spawn belts that are really worth ratting on. You can rat frigs and cruisers in low sec or even .5's. So it's pointless.

ok ehre are a few good ships and setups i like

*ahem*

harpy
4X t2 light neutrons
t2 small shield booster
t2 1mn ab
langour web
t2 cap recharger
2 t2 mag stabs

ishkur
5X t2 rat dependant drones
3 t2 light neutrons
t2 small armor rep
2c t2 mag stabs
langour web
t2 1mn ab

enyo
4X t2 light neutron blasters
t2 imn ab
langour web
t2 small armor rep
t2 adaptave nano plating
2 t2 mag stabs

the trick with all these shisp is to quickly kill all frigs dessys and cruisers and then use your small size speed and transversal to keep from gettign hit much by the bs and bc, and even when they can hit you with good micromanagement you can keep your defenses runin with no cap problems

I've been thinking a little (only theory so far, could very well be horrible fail Razz) on this as a sorta general purpose 0.0 ship:

[Ishtar, All-round 0.0 Setup]
Medium Armor Repairer II
Armor Explosive Hardener II
Damage Control II
Overdrive Injector System II
Overdrive Injector System II

10MN MicroWarpdrive II
Warp Disruptor II
Large Capacitor Battery II
Cap Recharger II
Medium Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 800

Salvager I
Salvager I
125mm Gatling AutoCannon II, EMP S
125mm Gatling AutoCannon II, EMP S
125mm Gatling AutoCannon II, EMP S

Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Polycarbon Engine Housing I

Ogre II x5
Valkyrie II x5
Warrior II x5
Vespa EC-600 x5
Hobgoblin II x5
Vespa II x5

Ship does about 3km/sec with my ok nav skills (no snakes or **** like that) which should be enough to avoid fire from npc's and decent speed for joining a roaming gang or avoiding gank squads.
Drones I just threw in there with minimum thought, plan is like one set for pve (prolly gal drones) and one for pvp (most likely minnie drones) with some ecm ones for GTFO.

For PvE:
The cap recharger and battery can permarun the mwd, dcu and hardner so just zoom-zoom around the rats while the drones take them down (may wanna switch the recharger to a web for PvP and/or PvE, with only battery cap lasts for like 16 mins).

The booster is there to power the MAR if you like bounce a roid or something and take fire from the rats (this was designed with serpentis rats in mind so might run into trouble if the rats don't do kin/therm damage which you have natural high resists against).

For PvP:
Put in the AC's to deal with drones and the mwd/scram/hardner/dcu can run for 15mins with the booster to run the rep or counter neuts/nos.

same can be said for any ammo type, but tbh last time i lived in 0.0 (which was like up to 2 weeks ago for an 8 month period) the ishtar worked fine. a couple of med rep bots in your drone bay can patch up the drones after fights if they get damaged, and if you wanted to get really anal about it maybe slap on a small remote hull rep.

and tbh if you are ab/mwd fitted (which you should be either or) you have no need to stray away from your drones at all. if local goes up scoop and warp.

for pure npc'n i used to use vs gurista and also as an explo vessel with my alt looking for arch/hack/salv sites:

cloak, 2 tractor, 2 salvagr
ab, codebreaker, analyser, 2 cap rech
med rep, active therm, active kin, 1600mm plate, inertia stab

worked fine for belt or gurista racial explo sites
