Make an alliance, pay 1b, get into alliance tournament.

Though it isnt Jovian space, its Polaris :)

Polaris / Jove / Normal Space

All exactly the same. Except theres no stargates leading into Jove/Polaris.

A long time ago, you used to be able to move your clone to jove space and pod yourself there, but you can't do that any more :(

afaik, the only way to get into polaris is for a GM/dev to move you to the system, and they only do that for alliance tourny participents. once you have a ship in polaris, you might be able to open a cyno, but thats if CCP doesnt have a cyno jammer in there, and even then it probably isn't in jump range. so no, it isn't possible to invade jove space

If you find a way gimme a bell

There was once a couple of stories of someone hitting the MWD button on his ship and his ingame Starmap showed his ship location as being in jovian space, however in real terms he never left the region he was in (session change is needed to do that, no jump gate no session change), i also heard a story before remote repping flagged you as a criminal of a gang of Battle ships in empire pwning concord on a gate whilst being remote repped being "moved" to Jove space because they wouldnt stop being naughty boys.

Like i said, these are stories and i dont know if there is any truth in either.

story wise the the jovians have a dna effecting virus and so concord have kept them under house arrest but in reality i think the dev just like a cool playground :)

but their DNA-structure has in many ways been damaged beyond repair. The consequence is the dreaded Jovian Disease. Genetic in nature, it is not infectious to other racesit is not infectios to other races

actually they closed themselves off after the battle of Vak'Atioth, or around about them I believe...

And also, there is a far more dangerous and even more advanced race called the "Enheduanni" who are the enemies of the Jovians and are trying to get the empires to fight each other ("Theodicy", page 82)

If you're thinking of site seeing and the excitement of new scenery you can forget it. Back when it was possible to go there those that visited said it looked exactly the same as everywhere else except that the asteroid belts were unpopulated.

IOW it's the same as the current playing area but even less useful.

Unless CCP are about to announce a major expansion (for which there is no evidence that I've seen) it's just a few hundred unused systems left in the same state they were when the game universe was created. I can't see CCP wasting time populating the systems with NPCs or doing anything else to it in the years since the clone jump trick was stopped.

Odds are it's a special area for the devs to do tests on a live TQ cluster without worrying about interfering with regular players or vice versa.

Pretty much on the money. Some things we have to test in a live environment, since the TQ server structure differs to the test servers (size, scale, etc).
