I have found a gadget that displays skill time and some links to this website.
If you are stupid enough to have bought vista like me, then check here http://gallery.live.com/results.aspx?c=0&bt=1&pl=1 for the skill training gadget!

If you upgrade from Vista to XP, you get around 30% more FPS. That's worth more than a gadget displaying skill times (most people probably use EVEmon for that anyway).

Its weird, I dualboot XP and Vista, and I actually get an increase in FPS in Vista. Could be it being able to access over 4 gig of RAM, but I doubt that most programs use that much Confused

I do have all the shinies of on Vista though. Only really have it for shexy DX10 shinies.

Yea that's true, if you play EVE on an Amstrad you will have a problem running Vista. I'm alright though, because I have a PC built this side of the millenium.

This gadget is great, it works well :))

<3 all the vista ***** slapping :)

However. if your Struggling to run it, or notice a fps drop that takes you under your monitors max refresh rate.. then perhaps its time to upgrade that Amiga (CRAVING Battlechess now!!!), i believe with a "mid end Shocked" system like mine (8800gts 512, and amd (eww) 6000+ and 4gb of ram), you can leave ALL the vista shinies on, and still get a solid FPS in games like Crysis - oh dear, ive become "that guy" who seems suspiciously *pro* product..Confused at this point.. ill don my shades and step back into the shadows Cool

More in Tune with the thread, thanks for the linky, i usually use the igoogle stuffs ^_^ but thanks, should be goodVery Happy

Very nice gadget, seems to do everything as expected. Uses Limited API key same as Evemon etc.

Exact name is 'Eve Online SkillWatch' if you need to search for it.

Wow 30% more FPS. So I can go from 120 fps to 150+ fps? Wait my monitor has fixed refresh of 60Hz.... So why exact would I want/need/care about some framerate 2x the limit of my monitor?

I love the Vista bashing. Vista runs fine. It is however memory hungry. Double the ram use in XP and it runs like a clock. With ram as inanely cheap as it is now (<$200 for 8GB, <$100 for 4GB) it is a non issue. Nice thing about Vist x64 is true support for >3.5GB.

yeah.. when you run on on 2 year old hardware... i have about 6 months old pc and i see very little difference in perfomance... eve runs the same

i have tryd XP pro 32 bit, xp pro 64 bit, vista ultimate 32 bit (when i still had 2 gb ram) and now im running vista ultimate 64bit

i use interval setting on one... so my fps caps at 60, its a good setting and lets me run 2-3 better :)
