Who are the major industrialist corps/players/alliances that build the vast majority of goods in Eve?

Or do we have a large number of small independent operators?

Simple answer... look to your left, look to your right. It is everyone......and no one.

Ever since invention was introduced, tech2 production has shifted from big BPO holder conglomerates to the broad masses. The tech 1 market has always been in this state.

There are of course still people who own tech 2 BPOs and crank out a large, steady volume of the stuff; and there are also whole corporations dedicated to building tech1 gear.

Which groups or individuals hold how much market share? - Since products in EVE are not watermarked, it's everyone's guess as much as yours.

In one of the EON magazines was a top 10 most productive corps. I remember "Mare Stellaris" eing one of them, they own a dozen tech II BPOs.

Go through your wallet. Depending on how big the market is, you should be able to have the data to get a decent understanding.

Somebody should summon Gavin Kineli to tell you that FTEK is the uberest production corporation of them all.

Really this would be difficult to find out through your wallet as you may just be identifying two or three major traders as opposed to the major industrialist. There might be a guy who is building and selling a wide array of T1 and T2 goods, but even then they would most likely have help and or an alt set-up to handle trade which could throw you off.

I for one would see great benefit in not conducting all my sales with one character as that might let a smart trader information on my market share and allow them to leech and/or steal my market share. Just a though...

I was specifically looking for corporations/alliances that were producing 50+ ships a week.

If what is instead the case is a large number of small players making a few here/there then it would seem that the low barriers to entry have indeed created a comptitive market.

I would not consider 50 ships a week to be a major producer. One Battleship BPO in constant production will accomplish that. From my experience most manufacturers are solo efforts. I often build 50+ ships a day and I'd assume there are many others out there that are also on that scale. So, there are not just a handful of large scale production outfits, but a great number of them that are not knowable to the general public.

I second this. It's not difficult to run 30 manufacturing slots near constantly as a solo operation (solo as in "one human, several 'pilots'").
